The T97 Thread!

That post is now from a full year ago, and is an individual's e-mail. Is that email even still valid? North Sylva is ridiculously tight lipped with their contact information for a company that is the sole importer and warranty center for many firearms. I had ordered replacement parts for my Tavor, I had part numbers for them and everything and it was still like pulling teeth (And I had to to through SFRC because I wasnt getting an answer from them directly).

Some of the parts they didn't have in and WOULDN'T order in, the rest were in stock but I was still kept waiting two months for them after being given an ETA of two weeks.

Info and my experience provided as is: no guarantees. YMMV

Shops are too busy, or can't do it? I'm assuming you mean the barrel.

Tactical ordinance who said they could for $150 is backed up till fall.
Dlask doesn't reply to emails.
Calgary shooting Centre doesn't want to do it because they want to take the barrel out of the receiver. Said if they tried it'd be $350+

A guy who messaged me to help noticed he wouldn't be able to chuck it up with the sight post and gas system on it.

Yeah the barrel lol.

How hard is it to get down to just the barrel so it can be put in a lathe?

And how hard is it to get the flash hider off (pinned? pressed?)?

barrel pinned to receiver, and the gas block / front sight. And the factory one is pinned on. The flash hider isn't the hard part.

Yeah, got the same treatment on my 2nd try with TSE, not sure why because he custom built a device made of wood, to fit the barrel in the lathe.. I don't believe he stripped the barrel completely either if I recall my good memory.

I'll give you my contact in Evansberg, AB. Pm inbound.

Anyone else see this?

I contacted North Sylva and they had zero interest in bringing in gen2 mag releases on their own (no surprise there, I guess), so hopefully these will be available instead!

Soo, I need to file my feed ramps... Whats the best way to do it? I haven't actually tried yet, but it looks like a real tight spot to stick a dremel or even a small file in there... can anyone provide pics/tips? Merci!
