Just going to run some American eagle and some Remington I have kicking around.
Mine also shot VERY well with 62gr Aguila - These two groups were shot one right after the other

This has probably been asked before but what the hell, does anyone know if the lower portion off the Puma shotgun would be able to fit on a t97? I'm kinda intertaining the idea of creating a copy of the Chinese qbz rifle.

T97 slam fire
Not sure if this is the best place to post this but here goes, my son bought a t97 ftu and after about 300 rnds it has started firing two rounds in a row with one pull of the trigger. We've cleaned it thoroughly and still the same issue, any help by the t97 gurus would be greatly appreciated.

Weekend project I wanted to share.
Surely I must not be the only one who think the T97 grip is skinny. Well I happen to like the look and feel of the MOE K2 grip and am crafty, sort of...
that's cool, I was thinking of making a custom lower with an original lower and some fiberglass.

Just inspect a few things in your rifle to make sure they're in order first:
1) Do some function checks. Ensure the rifle is empty, press the trigger (click!) and hold it down. #### the rifle. Release the trigger. You should hear an audible click. (If you don't, you have a problem, skip straight to 2) Press the trigger, again you should hear a click as the hammer falls. Holding the trigger down, #### the rifle again and repeat and ensure it functions properly on a consistent basis.
2) Do you get an manual with the your T97FTU? Pg 18 will detail how to take the trigger pack/firing mechanism out of the rifle. Make sure all the trigger pack pins are sitting in their holes in the housing. If not, pop them back into place. Its easy for them to pop out of alignment when not in the rifle so handle carefully.
3) Take the bolt head, hold it face down and trying pushing up on the firing pin and letting go. It should fall right down again instantly and without friction. If it does not, you might have a sticky firing pin. On the bolt head, you will see two roll pins. Using a punch found in the cleaning kit, tap out the smaller pin. This will remove the firing pin. Use a Q-tip to clean out the firing pin channel and wipe down the firing pin itself until everything is clean and dry. Firing pins have also been parkerized for some reason, which could also cause friction. You may want to take some 1000 grit sandpaper and lightly remove some of the black finish, particularly on the raised portions at the "head" of the pin (but not he tip that actually hits the primer!)
Test fire again once everything is in order. If problems persist, send 'er back.

Mine does this too, and I've found that if I am careful to make a complete-to-the-rear pull of the trigger it does not happen. Take careful and slow shots, bring the trigger all the way to the back before releasing and see if it still happens.
Not sure. North Sylva Rifle? Non restricted, semi auto rifle?
Sorry for getting back too this so late I was away for a few days so I'll share what we found. Even though we had cleaned everything or thought we did it wasn't good enough. We ended up having to soak the bolt over night in solvent then taking it apart as Jarvy suggested, we then washed the bolt and pin in brake clean blew it out with air put her back together and ran maybe 50 rnds through it. Although this really helped we'd still get the odd slam fire but far fewer. What we found was that my son had reloaded .223 with cci No.450 primers the anvil on these are slightly taller the cci No. 41 for 5.56 so with military 5.56 we had no issue. So from now on at least with this T97 we'll be using only No. 41's which have a slightly shorter anvil in the primer to allow for the floating fire pin.
