The T97 Thread!

Hm, odd. My gen2 still has FTF issues of that exact type. Anyone else?
I'm thinking of smoothing out the feedramp with a file. My mags are not too loose but definitely not stiff, and it only happens in one specific type of LAR mag.

Maybe it's just a magazine issue. Also instead of filing the ramp (or in addition to), perhaps an option would be to add some material (like JB weld lol) to the side of the trunnion/breech shroud where the feed ramp is milled out or on the magazine front feed lip area . You can try it yourself, field strip the rifle and remove the striker and carrier group. Seat a loaded (with snap caps or inert ammo of course) magazine into the mag well and move it up and down to see where the play is coming from. There is a noticeable gap between the side of the shroud where the feed ramp begins on the forward left and right sides of the magazine feed lip.

Edit: I've never had FTFs that push the bullet back in with my modified Mission First Tactical LAR, E-Lander LAR, E-Lander 5/30 and Norinco stock 5/30 mags. The FTFs were only the type where the bolt gets caught on the first round and I need to pull the mag out slightly and re-rack the bolt.

I think most vendors/distributors are out of stock due to people buying them before and the fact now that China's manufacturing sector is f'ed due to COVID-19. However you can try the Equipment exchange here or the firearms classifieds such as FirearmsCanada and TownPost. Depending on the condition of the rifle you can haggle the price to $750 or even lower. Good luck.
 
Does anybody know what the stock mag for the T97 is & if so where can I get some??

I haven't had any luck with getting a mag that functions flawlessly without filing or bending.

Hey ShawnC6 , do you think you could share the STL file of your 3d print? I'd be interested in making one with Nylon Reinforced print.
