The T97 Thread!

Any ideas how awkward it is to run a magnifier on an FTU upper? Assuming the CH is on the right and the magnifier also flips to the right, wouldn't it end up blocking the CH?

I ran one for a while. It wasn’t a huge issue but something to work around for sure. I had both of mine going left.

When flipped down you had to purposely go under it which was a bit awkward.

If the FTU had an SVT/SKS style charging handle, it'd probably be easier to grasp it with your knuckles facing up. That way, your arm wouldn't be as impeded by a magnifier.
In any case, if it's really too awkward, I might just switch my CH back to the left and let the magnifier flip to the right.

North Sylvia is the importer and they are terrible to deal with. They were talking about bringing in spares but I have not heard anything about it.

I got in contact with them a couple years ago.

They had 1 barrel for like $325 and one spring kit for like $180 or something.

I didn’t buy anything.

I’ve had thousands through them with minimal wear and no breakages, and haven’t heard of anything breaking.

I’d like spare parts... but it’s not much of an option. So yeah.. worst case.. find a cheap used one.

Hi guys, I just got a new Type 97 Gen 3. When I was switching over the charging handle I turnt in the little screw that holds it a bit too much and it developed a small crack on the side, will this affect anything? Right now it seems fine.
