The TAVOR

And so now that I've ordered one, the next question that I'm sure is also on everyone's mind is:

WHEN WILL THEY BE HERE?!?!?!?!?!!!!!

Mid summer hey...I might be interested by then. ;)

If they will sell them without the MARS sight how much would the price be?

They include the Meprolight M21. No firm plans as yet for a rail version.

I doubt they will do it as I think they are trying to sell the Mepro's off since noone else wants them.

BTW -- they have long since gone past donated M16A1's and CAR15's -- the M4's and such are all bought with IDF funds...
This is likley a way they can buy more.

Kinda like how the Czech's did the Cz-58 sell off.

The price the IDF pays for M4's is peanuts, the US government gives them the money and the subsidizes any purchase to a US company, thats why they wanted to make the tavor in the USA. The M4 has a unfair marketing advantage over Israels own domestic products.

thats just great:mad:
We have something the US cannot have right now, but if it moves to US production, the US state Dept will prohibit export of it.

Get it while you can ... ;)

Thanks for your help Deckard!!!

Believe it or not I already did a search for that answer before I posted the question. I was just hoping that someone in "the know" could direct me to the right thread. My mistake!

If anyone else has the same question re. the 10 rd mags, and would actually like an answer, take a look at this thread.

Rifle wont be getting made in the US, so dont worry folks. But because of this the future of the tavor is uncertain because Israel wont be able to use all there free greenbacks to purchase them.

It is a large paddle/button behind the magazine, near the butt.

So I guess the lever behind the trigger guard is the mag release ? Hmm .. rather ingenious. Hit the lever with you firing hand thmb, drop the mag, slap in a fresh one with your left hand and slide your hand up the mag till you hit the mag release once it's seated ... That way you never have to take your firing hand off the pistol grip.

What do I sell?

My kid doesn't really need an RESP does he?

KFB

Yes, he does...he's named after me, remember? ;) However, there may be adequate time to save up for that stuff - "Post Tavor". :)
