The TAVOR

In the States, Barrett wanted a legal Tavor, wicht is the civilian Tavor (there is some picture of Barrett's daughter with the Tavor on the net) and that Tavor look really like the Micro Tavor on the picture. The deal between Barrett and IWI went down and the US civilian Tavor was cancel.

Maybe, I said maybe, IWI converted the civilian to the Micro Tavor.

That site says a lot and shows pictures.

Isn't that one Micro Tavor? It's on IWI's website. It's the one that's 5.56, and converts to 9mm. I think it exist.

Micro tavor doesnt look like that. The picture he has is of the Barrett model that was supposed to be made stateside so they could get US subsidization for the rifle. So in reality the rifle in that picture is the leftover discontinued garbage.

ugly, maybe... badass, undeniably. honestly, the AR doesn't do anything for me. i'd rather look at a pile of vomit. not to mention everyone and their mother has one. the sig cqb is badass, but restricted. and no one can even say for sure whether the stg-556 will make it here.

oh and then there's the 10 round thing...

Oh, I understand completely - it's my opinion only...

YMMV

blake

Does anyone have any experience using Questar's 10-round mags in a Travor yet? I was wondering if the 10-round mag body might not be a little short for ease of insertion/extraction.

Speaking of magazines, does the Travor come with one or two mags?

You've got to give credit to Israel on the US Arms Deals "Let's get the Yanks to pay to make our own guns, rather than get theirs guns for free." Well, maybe not free, purchased through hard barganing, getting the best value for their mad money free... ;) Full respect. "You got parts too?!"

There were Tavor receivers made in the US. For whom? Who knows?

The Tavor... 223? pffft. I'm waiting till they make a Grendel. ;)

Why wait for the 6.5Grendell when you can wait for the .505 Gibbs version!

But only if it'll accept my .22LR AR conversion will I ponder, considering, possibly looking into a probable decision, that may lead to the eventual purchase. Is there a 7.62x54R mm sniper version?

Of that 450 Bushmaster mostrosity that seems to require nothing more than a new barrel and mag follower.... Sounds like a decent large game round too !

I'll buy a beer for the first guy that harvests a deer or bear with a Tavor rebarreled to 450 Bushmaster!

Well this thread took a turn for the worst.
Best we can hope is IWI drops the galatz or whatever that 308 galil is called and decides it needs to make a 308 tavor for sniping purposes.

Deer lord!! Just saw this off the Banner at Canada Ammo.

- Non-restricted!! As much as i would love one of these, I have a feeling that the same thing if not much worse will happen to owners of this rifle similar to those with the Walther G22.

What's everyone's opinion on this very impressive rifle!
