The TAVOR

From what I understand from my order, you get the rifle as a whole, including the Meprolight + whatever add on's you put in.

This is my plan B also, to get the rail only to put whatever .223 optic of your choosing.

It would be nice if somebody would machine a rail to adapt the Tavor's Meprolight to an AR so the guys that want to upgrade the sights have a chance of selling them. Personally I would buy an EOtech over the Tavor's stock sight, but if it was priced low enough....

I'd buy one of those rails. I'd kinda like to use that Mepro on my 9mm AR.

CanAM,

I am sure you have more questions than answers as you are not actually manufacturing the guns yourself.

Having said that, I am wondering, if the other colored stocks are an option and also, will there be an option to purchase this gun without the factory installed site? For those of us that want to install other optics?

Yup. The option is to buy the Tavor with the Mepro sight, then take it off, then put on the optics adaptor rail with your choice of optics :D

Will the left hand bolt option be coming in the first shipment?

never thought of that?I ordered mine left but with a extra right hand bolt.I'll take it right hand to begin with though if the left hand is not avail yet:D

Can anyone comment on the claim that a 20" pe-90 would out perform the Tavor at 300m if both rifles were fitted with the same optics and the same 62gr. ammo. Overheard a salesman in local gun shop telling a potential green special buyer that the swissarms would "kick the Tavor's ass!" Not a deal-breaker for me obviously, the Tavor just has too much going for it. I'm just curious if anyone would care to speculate on the veracity of that claim.

Cheers,

James
