The TAVOR

A sling for Tavor

Just want to let people know that I have found a sling that works quite nicely with the Tavor.
You have the option to switch from a two points sling to a one point sling.

Just make sure you order the WEBBING-LOOP ADAPTER (UERT-0-00) or the SPEED-LOOP MALE ADAPTER (UERT-0-15) for the front sling anchor point, and the UNICORD Adapter-23, Low profile 5-50 cord adapter (0-23) for the rear sling anchor point.

Matt is very easy to deal with. You can buy different adapters for your future rifles needs.

Check it out.

I am looking for an alternate sling for my Tavor and a picture of your set up would be great.

Here are the sling pic:

Matt from Urabn ERT was very help. Took a few adapters change to get the sling height/ length adjusted properly. I think it is working quite good now.

Also, do not forget this sling can be modified to a single point sling if you want. I just like the 2 point sling better as I feel it is more secure. The gap that you see (between the Tavor and me) will disppear once I put on a tac vest. Plus, I can loose up the sling at that time if I want.

I just spoke with IWI.

All future Tavors shipped will have new bolts to accommodate an upgraded firing pin with a spring to allow use with soft primered cartridges.

These will be ready in 3 months.

No further Tavors will ship until they upgrade. (from us or IWI)

Those who have already received their Tavor will received the upgrade.

Thank you for your patience. This is one of those things that appear when you put a military gun in civie hands.

What about people (like me) that ordered their Tavor months ago? Can't you ship it out and send the new bolt later?

I understand that this isn't your fault exactly, but I never would have ordered the Tavor if I had known I would be waiting until winter to get it. I even emailed you to make sure I wouldn't have to wait an extended period of time to receive my rifle, was told the rifle would ship as soon as the paper work was done, and then went out and bought a bunch of accessories, mags and ammo to use with my Tavor. Now I have a pile of very expensive junk and I find myself in the situation I specifically wanted to avoid. Now I'm stuck and have to keep my order and I'm not to pleased about it. I'm sure other people are in the same boat.

Can't you make an exception and ship rifles to those people that ordered them before you made this announcement and ship the new bolt later, as you are doing with people that have already received their rifles?

We do our very best to ensure that our customers receive the best product we can offer, as soon as possible. As stated above, we will not ship any further Tavors without the new bolts.

It seems to me that it wouldn't be prudent for a company to knowingly ship something that is suspected to have a potentially dangerous problem - for many reasons including liability and plain responsibility. I can understand your frustration though, and it is easy for me to say because I already have mine...

No double/slamfire, failure to feed, or eject.

Sometimes I clean it, sometimes I don't. It's been dropped on it's barrel, and generally abused (You don't baby a rifle like this). It's functioned perfectly, and never lost zero through the abuse.

I have about 300 rounds of Remington UMC through mine so far with no issues. When I get back home this weekend I will be shooting some more with it.

In the first 200 rounds, I got 2 doubles. Since then, I have taken the recoil assembly apart, clean and lube everything.
Now I am into my 600 rounds, no doubles no slam fire. I do not clean the rifle after each shoot (more likely clean it every 2nd or 3rd time outiing).

Just sitting and waiting..........

It seems that those lucky stiffs who got their Tavor delivered and have been using them have no problems with the bolts. However, we others who sit and wait keep wondering if there are any in stock.....maybe the shipment was all sold out and there are none available. Sooooo, we sit and wait and grow older each day, hoping one day we too may get out to the range and shoot one of these.
