Enjoy.

My opinon is that bullpup is great for mid-range shooting or people who are mechanized.....have the need to shoot from their "ride". It is a great system to "move" ( not "shoot") around in confined space, and for people who need to control their weapons while doing something else with their hands.

On the other hand, the super long and fixed LOP of some of the design do not seem to be compatible with some of the close range shooting techniques. I think more advanced shooters who do a lot of close range and dynamic stuff (and wearing armour) will probably like to stick with the conventional format.

I won't mind havubg a bullpup DMR.

Just my worthless 2 cents.

Quite the contrary... Israeli SF never used the Galil, and I bet they won't be using the Tavor.
I'm not saying it's a bad rifle, but bullpups have some disadvantages...

The real question is: would Kevinb use a Tavor in combat ?
:D

not presuming to speak for him but I'm sure KevinB would use a can opener in combat if that was what was available. :D
Justins, I bet that Tavor works great to get you across KGH and 96 on a Friday night

Ahh... That was great, me and the wife had a good laugh at that. Thank you.
You arn't far off my friend, i'm around 96th and 128th street.

I seldom have it in my trunk though.

.223 or 5.56mm ?

Could someone pls. tell me what does the caliber on the barrel say, .223 or 5.56mm?

Another question: is there any indication if 9mm Micro Tavor will be available in Canada? Cause if it is not, I'll probably go buy a CX4. :(

It doesn't say anything on the barrel(It might say something the barrel throat, but i'm wayyy to lazy to take it apart to check again.). It says on the stock next to the left hand ejection port
TAVOR - 21 .223 REM
ISRAEL WEAPON INDUSTRIES LTD.

I highly doubt the 9mm "Micro" will be allowed in Canada. The Tavor just makes it past the barrel restriction, I doubt the "Micro" is going to.

The chamber is 5.56. They ,ark the civie guns 223. The X95 will come out if there is enough interested. They have a much higher price than the Tavor according to IWI.

There is no bbl "restriction" unless you mean for non-restricted. The X95 will be restricted unless we go with a fake can to hide the long bbl.

Go with the fake can so we can have some 9MM fun. On second thought, give people the choice if they want a restricted or a NON.

That is a thing of beauty, can I put my name on the list for it first?

Sorry, you've lost me  (it is so easy to do). What's a fake can?

If you do bring it in, will it be 5.56 + conversion, or just 9mm? If this baby is gonna be well over $3K, the CX4 is looking more & more attractive by the minute. :D

Thanks, one more thing learned!

I thought suppressors don't count as part of the bbl length, but I must be wrong, as usual...

It's not a real suppressor. It's just a sleeve you slide over your barrel to hide it.

You can see an example of it on the GSG-5 in this video.
