I wish Canada Ammo would open up shop in the US and produce a Tavor. They would make a killing(no pun intended)
I sold my Tavor because the mepro sucked and no rail was available at the time and i had no tools to take it off . My mepro was defective as well , with the recoil the dot would come on and off . But im thinking of getting another one if i can get it without the mepro . I was thinking of putting either my NF 1-4X or maybe getting a spectre DR .
So what is the future plan for TAVOR? More to come? Different variants or simply holding pattern?
Greetings, great site! I just got here.
I have a Tavor on order, I read through this thread, and I got this:
Questions:
- the Mepro sight is crap
- there a 2 rails: one from 999 through CanAM, one from dlask. The dlask is a bit lower than the 999. Might need a riser to clear the flip up sight.
- Some replace the Mepro with ACOG,, Aimpoint, hollow sights
- any point for or against one rail or the other?
- has anyone removed the read flip-up sight? Can it be removed or must it be sawed off?
- I would like to have some magnification on my sight, so ACOG would be my preference. But it's damn expensive! How about a "regular" scope in 1-5 x 20 mm (or something similar)?
Thanks! Nic.
IWI would not send us any bolts until we completed the courses with them. That was done a few weeks ago, now IWI is sending bolts, both types. Thank you for your patience.
Tears. It's a bullpup thing. Actually it happened with the Negev as well. Any time there is gas present.I loved the tavor that I borrowed from CANAM. They are smooth shoting bullpup - minus the gas mark that appeared on all the shooters faces in semi-auto? Whats up with that in full auto-mode?
