The Troy PAR in 556 is about to become really popular

Definitely a downgrade from a semi, but at least it's something to shoot while all that legal time consuming stuff takes place :x.

They over turned the ban on Vz 58 and Swiss Arms. They pushed back the long gun registry. They relaxed the laws on Restricted firearms. What makes you think they can’t push back at this?

This. The conservatives can and I think will overturn this IF they can get a majority. People need to wake up though and stop splitting votes to ‘punish’ the conservatives for not doing enough in their opinion.

Lol... The CPC Public Safety Minister (Steven Blaney) was the one who signed off on the ban on the SAN and CZ858...nice of him to reverse his own screw-up.

thank you Innavedaw, someone followed the screw up they did first ...

Over the years what government overturned any such legislation ? Imo it would be political suicide for the conservatives even with a majority to overturn this oic

be queit with your loser talk its only been like 3 days

plus whens the last time you were in a pandemic.

people are tired of the lies they are hearing everyday.

Funny how times change. A few years ago a sponsor here was looking to import straight-pull AK's into Canada and got told to piss up a rope on CGN.

"We don't need those, we have CZ-858's!", they said...

Now you guys want to panic buy a pump-action AR-ish looking thing just because Trudope gave a scary Libernazi spiel last Friday...

Kinda sad how people are lining up for the PAR now, it seems pretty gimmicky for its supposed price point of around $1600. You could get a nice bolt action for that kind of dough.

well up to the time we can use our prohibited toys what are you suggesting dancing and praying around the safe or what? options for toys or tools is always what wil make shooters happy.

I'll take me a PAR, recycle my flip up sights, ACOGs, Magpul furniture, Vickers slings, mags and ammo... while my bare naked ARs sleep in the safe.

I wanted one really bad. Especially when I saw a 10.5 non restricted build.

I know they had parts wear out in the pump handle and where it mated with the bolt.

Would suck to drop that much on a pump gun and it wear out and need plastic replaceable parts...

Would I buy a 5.56 probably....

I'm conflicted into whether I'd get a PAR or SAR. I was leaning towards SAR, but I think you'd be able to put more on paper faster with a PAR; however, PAR will probably throw your picture off more from the pump than the bolt, and it'd be harder to use it in prone...tough choices, maybe get two...I was thinking 223 in PAR and 308 in SAR when that becomes available. Thoughts for you guys?

I'm wrestling with the same decision lol. I feel like the PAR is better suited for those who do more dynamic shooting, and in fact has already seen use in New Zealand 3(2?) gun matches. But the SAR looks like a very interesting platform for bench/precision shooting, and perhaps still fairly quick to shoot with that bolt return. In the end it comes down to what kind of shooting you prefer... personally I think a .223 PAR and a .308 SAR would be the way to go.
