The Varmints are coming!!!!

Have a 6.8 upper for my (wife's ;)) Xcr-l, so would prefer 6.8. However, it seems to have been replaced on the shelves by 300 blk lately, and if you build an upper in any legal hunting caliber I'll buy one. Waiting eagerly for my MV, once proof gets the barrels to you, I'll have to decide whether to buy an MH in 308 or wait and see if you're going to do a Grendel or spc upper. That is, if I like it as much as anticipated!

Going to hunt deer with my Tikka compact 243 this fall, hopefully have my MV dialed in for coyotes for the winter.

Question on the website it says this
If we are shipping this to out to you, we require your valid PAL infomation. It can only be shipped in a hard case.

Does that mean one is expected to purchase a case or that it comes with a case?

To my knowledge, the case is extra.

Nice try guys. These are custom rifles, not mass produced rifles. I am sure that your rifle could come with a case if you wanted to pay $5100 for your $5000 rifle.

Why people don't get the concept that just because it may come with the rifle does not mean it is free. If it's included and appears free, that just mean that the value has been built into the price else where. A gimmick really.

At ATRS on the order sheet, every option that changes the value has a cost, a case is also optional, so it will also have a cost.

What it means is that some folks come in and pick up their rifle, so we don't have to worry about what to ship it in. Some folks require we ship it and rather than building the cost of a case that may not be required into every gun, we offer you several options. Send us a case, purchase a cheapy that we supply at cost or opt for a good case at cost.
The point being we will not ship a rifle in a plastic bag (yes this was requested to save money) or a box that is not properly fitted for the rifle that will offer good protection. Being small means not being able to get packaging made to order in small amounts that is cost effective, hence the cheapy shipping cases being offered as a solution at cost.

That's perfect thank you!

This kinda caught me by surprise, I've ben following the MH and MV from far since the beginning, but I never really was interested for one for myself, the price was prohibitive. Now I don't know what click but in the last 2-3 days it dawnd on me that I needed a MV lol. So I have just yesterday sold ( got a deposit) on my colt le6920 and will be making a MV order mid octobre!

ATRS, any plans to have a few MH's and MV's in stock ready to go for impulse buyers?

There are always plans for this, the problem now is that we are hard pressed keeping up with what is ordered. Once we see a slow down of the initial rush we will probably build a few for the shelf.
My suggestion is to order what you want as we have no clue when we may have ready to go rifles available.

Picked up my MV on Wednesday and managed to make it out to put some rounds through it today. I've got it 90% sighted in and my first impressions are great. The action is smooth and I got some nice groups even though I was using cheap 45gr+55gr Winchester and Remington ammo. I'm hoping to get out with it again next weekend.
