Picked up my MV on Wednesday and managed to make it out to put some rounds through it today. I've got it 90% sighted in and my first impressions are great. The action is smooth and I got some nice groups even though I was using cheap 45gr+55gr Winchester and Remington ammo. I'm hoping to get out with it again next weekend.

I'll be taking mine out tomorrow morning. I had to do a modification to the factory ammo I will be using. I had to seat the bullets deeper in order to reliably magazine feed the rounds. The ammo is Black Hills 77gr SMK's and they are (imho) a touch long for the magazine. I ran them through my seating die .020" deeper than the factory depth. I feel much better now.
I came into a large quantity of this factory ammo and have been saving it for this build. And with the 1:8 twist, I know it will shoot them very well. I'll decide after I use this ammo whether or not I'll roll up something lighter or buy some lighter factory ammo. We'll see how it goes.
I'll have my camera and will report back later in the day.
You mean a long body 5 round mag? Yup, just what the anti's need to have a photo of to use against us.![]()
I have placed my order early this week. Will it really be 5-6 months before I see my rifle? Have to mentally prep myself for the wait lol
I was the last order for production run 1, on about January 30th, so I will be up to 8 months by the time October rolls around.
Are the guys who were apart of the MH first round of orders getting precedence over others? that would be my bet why we are still waiting while some others already have theirs.
It's just a matter of when parts com in there door ( I just ordered the base model and there still waiting on handguard which is not in )
The guys had ordered ther carbon fiber hand guards will receive their MV sooner then me
My MH is out of the first batch 29 or 28 I would have to check but pretty sure that has no bearing on delivery whether or not it is from the first batch of MH there just filling orders based on parts on hand
Ordering parts from the states is crapshoot on when it will actually be delivered
