The worse rifle you ever owned

Remington Model 7 SS
The front stud pulled out, the stainless action was sticky (no matter how I lubed it), trigger way too heavy, 3rd shot would walk >2.5" towards 2 o'clock every time, barrel heated quickly.
The most 'in-accurate' out of the box rifle that I have ever owned.

Enfield sporter #4mk1, my first rifle.

Cut down and lightened enough to kick like a mule, jammed regardless of how one loaded it, or what Mag was used, accuracy was 8"@ 100 yards at best even if I reloaded for it.

A good rifle to teach a new shooter frustration.

It now lives in Australia with my ex Brother in law. :D

My SKS prints 1" at 100 yards, bye bye crappy Enfield.

Thus far my only lemons have been a M44 (had a busted firing pin, and then when I got a new firing pin, it was keyholing). And a Norinco 780 Homeland Security (which wouldn't feed reliably, lost its front bead and was generally poor).

Mini 14. Damm they suck and the price...
:kickInTheNuts:
It groups like a shot gun and isn't got for anything but small game.
Maybe the target model isn't so bad but it weighs a ton. Give me a bolt action rifle, a low powered fixed scope and some good bino's. That's all you'll ever need.

Rifles, for the most part (for me) have worked fine, but there have been a few (okay, quite a few) that I tried for the sake of trying. The ones I didn't like usually didn't fit me well or the recoil was brutal.

Shotguns, on the other hand, I would have to say the worst was a toss up between one of those 12" backpacker 410's and one of the DA 12GA 'backpacker' models. Yeah, I bought them for the 'novelty' but the 410 shot about 3 feet high from where you were aiming and the DA, well it was just not pleasant to shoot - although it did shoot where you aimed it.

Other guns have been pleasant surprises, but in general, I love my Rugers. :)

Midland 2100. made by Parker Hale, but they wouldn't put their name on it. It had a lot of issues right from the factory and spent more time under repair than it did working. The best group i ever got was pie plate size, and that was my best handload. It was my first centre fire rifle and discouraged me to the point i nearly gave up on shooting. I traded it on a used M70 winchester and nearly fainted when my first group from the winchester was sub 1.25 inches with factory ammo.

The only good thing abut that Midland rifle was that it forced me to learn a lot trying to accurize it - bedding, reloading, etc. But i wouldn't touch one now with a 10 ft pole.

mini thirty.

it was the first rifle i bought when i got my license... thats actually how i got on to CGN, i searched to see if there was any online forums for selling guns!!

Never owned a terrible rifle, but one REALLY bad shotgun.

Norinco 'Homeland Defence' 780. If you've ever held one, you'd know what I mean. AWFUL finish, sharp edges, machine marks everywhere, and cycled like it was full of sand. Every other Norinco I've owned felt like a Benelli in comparison!

My Mini 30 will shoot 1.5" - 3" groups @ 100M. Thats all i need for whitetail when I'm in the thick stuff. I like it as follow up shots are fast and reliable. I'm more of a bolt action guy "but" now and then find myself reaching for my Ruger .44mag and or my mini 30 when i'm dogging out the bush.

Buddy gave me a Bubba Mosin Nagant 91/30, barrel shortened to 22 inches, bolt handle cut off and welded down by someone in Grade 8 shop class, and rechambered to .308 Winchester. I took it apart and threw the receiver and barrel away, keeping the bolt and trigger/mag assembly for parts.

Savage 99c Just plain junk, worst 450 bucks I ever spent

I got my dad's 99c in .308 when he died a few years ago. I haven't had time to work on tightening the groups up on it, but my dad couldn't get a tight group no matter how hard he tried. the action is tight and doesn't feed well out of the mag. He downed a fair amount of game with it ...but only because the vitals are large enough a tight shot isn't necessary. He could take the head off a ptarmigan with his 10/22 either left or right handed, so it wasn't his ability. A buddy from work has one also, says he hates it for the same reasons.
