The worse rifle you ever owned

I had a ruger m77 varmint that came with receiver ring slots milled so crooked that the scope was visibly looking "out to left field" - bore-sighting was impossible. Never fired a shot....guessing it would have been junker.

X2 on ruger. Had some bad experiences myself. With the 10/22's.

Parker Hale 30-06 I bought it as my first gun and man did it jam, not feed right and rust quicker then straight iron in the ocean. Sold it and bought a Browning Medallion and hjave never looked back.

Without a doubt, a sporterized SMLE #4 MK1 that I purchased at Canadian Tire for $25 a long time ago.

First rifle I owned. Terrible shooter. Still have it, just in case I need a jack handle.

1917 Sporterized Lee Enfield, the first shot was accurate, but the barrel had a defect
halfway down that caused it to bend with the heat, and any shots after the first one were all over the map...until the barrel cooled. No second chances with that rifle! :)

crappiest

Parker hale 1200c 3 rifels bought . By 3 different owners all suffered the same bolts frozehalf way in took a 2x4 to loosen all 3 were different cals garbage.

Hands down, Ruger Mini-14 Ranch Rifle..........incredibly inaccurate!
A friend accompanied me, as I was trying to 'sight-in' this piece of sh#t. His wife was new to shooting, and he brought her along to try out, his sporterized SMLE.
His wife after a brief introduction proceeded to hit it, again and again and again, an empty bucket @100 yards, with the .303!
The piece of sh#t mini14 could not even accomplish this @100 yards!!!
Glad it is long gone........

I have to agree with this choice... I owned the ranch rifle and the original model both were crappy rifles! it's no wonder you never saw any bodies in the "A team" epsodes! That rifle was so lousy there's no way anyone could get shot with one!! Got rid of both when Lepine murdered those ladies in Montreal.

A Remington Model 760 in .308 Win. It was my first centerfire, purchased when I was 14. It was only a few years later that I purchased my first bolt action and learned that rifles are not supposed to have a spongy, completely unpredictable trigger pull about 1/4" long...

Never owned a rifle i didn't love. I will agree with mini 14 acuracy.(terrible) They are still funs as hell and cheap to shoot!! Does anybody really buy a Norinco and expect a quality firearm?

My worst was an original Browning A-bolt Stalker. The bolt would regularly bind while shooting quickly and it's best groups were 3 1/2".

remington viper 22 what a piece of junk...my buddy his dad and I all bought one from SIR at the same time to hunt coons on the marsh ice with and not a single one of them would work....i was so disgusted I thru it in the marsh at breakup and let it settle away in the loon ####...before registration by the way :)

FN SCAR. I haven't been able to get a single round on target since I paid for it. Come to think of it, I can't even chamber a round. :stirthepot2:

That is some strange quality control friend. I have an A-Bolt Micro Hunter in 22 Hornet and it's so far, flawless functioning at the range. I've had some factory ammo through it, and I am just starting load development. This looks like, it may beat out my trusty 222 as the most accurate/reliable varmint rifle in my home. It took a few years for Browning to work out the 22 Hornet magazine design for flawless function before it became, regular factory production. This rifle has even a spring loaded loading ramp, so the cartridges can feed correctly. But a friend's A-Bolt in 7mm Magnum does not have this feature, but his is equally reliable in feed/fire/ejection according to himself, as well as being accurate.
