That's a great looking M-48!I did a review of my m48 almost a year ago: https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/1501331-Yugo-M48-Review
Military surplus ammo has reduced the shooting cost since last year. These are still a bargain! I can't believe that people aren't buying these up asap.
Here is a pic of mine:

I got the Burris 2-7x32 Scout scope today and mounted it. It's not as bad as I thought it would look (IMO).
The nice thing is that no Milsurps were harmed in the process. The Brass Tracker mount is removable in less than 2 minutes so, it is far from permanent.
Anyways, here are some pix.

The picture below shows the front of the removable scope mount. It locks onto the side of the front sight by means of 2 brass set screws.

The rear of the mount is attached by means of a replacement recoil lug with 2 spacers and two allen head screws to lock it in place. (it's adjustable vertically as well.)

Looks good - where did you find the brass stacker? Is that pad sufficient for a good weld, or would you try a taller one?
Thanks!
Guerre, That is a very nice M98/48. I bet it shoots like a dream. Do you have a preferred load for it?
We finally got some decent weather here on PEI, so I took one out for a first shoot. I think there was still some cosmo in the firing pin, or the Dominion primers they all went on the second pull though. I was using some cast 175 gr. bullets for this load and they showed decent accuracy, but nothing spectacular. I'll have to work the load over time or just shoot the 198gr FMJBT loads I had great luck with in the past.
