Vasily Zaytsev would be proud. Took my 1942 Mosin Sniper out for the deer hunt and took a single beautiful shot from 130ish yards which obliterated the lungs and took out a chunk of spine. She dropped right where she stood. Dream of dropping a deer with WWII era rifle completed!

Im trying to trade with a fella in town for a nice old carbine Mosin with supposed Finnish commie spanking heritage....Shes not as pretty as a bess but shes real pretty.

Good job, should be a tasty specimen. The reds are all I ever used for hunting big game, I tend to guess they've knocked down a few moose in my neck of the woods over the years.
