Think Our Black Rifle Laws Suck? The Full-Auto Dream

Great post, Blaxsun.
You made the comment "consent from local LE".
That needs to be expanded upon.
A few years back, I was at a Full Auto shoot in Albany OR.
http://www.arpc.info/sbmgs.php
I got talking to 2 guys from the Portland OR police dept.
They were there on their own, not on dept duty or time, firing their own guns. (Tommy and Egyptian Port Siad, IIRC)
They said that their own boss, the police chief, was unwilling to sign them off until a few of the rank and file cops were about to take him to court or whatever.

So, it is FAR from cash and carry for FA in the USA, regardless what the uninformed believe.

That's also good to know!

I would gladly undergo any of those background checks and such.

If I could legally own and use a full auto rifle like an M-16, I would gladly pay $50,000.00 for a new one. I don't care. If I could legally own and use a suppressor on my target or hunting rifles, I would gladly pay $5000.00 for a new one. It is NOT about the money, it is about opening the door.

If there was a 6 month course, 6 hours a day, 7 days a week, that cost $30,000.00 and after passing it and every possible background check, I would be issued a CCW, I would be there. This CCW would be valid for the whole of Canada for life, can never be taken away (unless I commit a serious crime) and would guarantee that regardless of changes in Government that I would always be allowed to own at least one semi-automatic handgun and one revolver, and have access to ammunition for them, I would be first in line for it. Again, it is NOT about the money, it is about opening the door.

A semi-auto AR cost more to make than an FA AR and we have people like you that are willing to pay that much..........lol... I would do it too to open the door if i had cash like that to burn, but that is just unattainable i would have to make it into a business first to justify that cost.

I think we missed or lost any more opportunity too change anything with C19, we got part of the registry gone and we are a few steps away from getting it put back coming in a few elections when the winds change.

I hate saying that, but I think it is the truth and most probable outcome........hope I'm wrong.

Even still, what's the actual need for more than 5 rounds in a rifle anyways? If you aren't in the military or using that gun for defensive purposes I see no need for more than 5 rounds especially when you can carry multiple loaded mags.

Our society is not based upon NEED. There is no need for you to own guns. Nobody here needs to justify a need to own a full capacity mag to the likes of an ignoramus like you.

Why oh why are so many gun owners so willing to throw fellow gun owners under the bus? It REALLY PISSES ME OFF to hear gun owners like you asking the rest of us to justify our firearms.

Would you like it if I came into your house and demanded you justify all the stuff you own? I highly doubt it. So why not extend the same courtesy to me? Because otherwise you are no better than Cooky Wendy and the anti gun grabbers IMO.

I'll gladly provide blood, semen, fingerprints and an IQ test for a CCW. Same for a can. Make me take a BS course and pass a skills test if you need it, thats cool too.
