Hello Fellow CGN Members,
I have been considering getting an SKS for some time now. Wanted to ask the SKS owners and collector's what kind of things to look out for. Specifically:
I very much like the finish and overall appearance of the Yugoslavian SKS M59/66 with the muzzle formed into a spigot-type grenade launcher, and folding bayonet. Would really like to be able to have a similar wood finish. An image of this model is available on Wikipedia:

Thanks in advance!
I have been considering getting an SKS for some time now. Wanted to ask the SKS owners and collector's what kind of things to look out for. Specifically:
- Are there particular factories of production where the models were high quality?
- Are there particular years of production to look for?
- And finally, any advice on how to treat the wooden stock to give it a different stain?
