I got my BB in Dec and so far did about half a dozen matches, placed as high as 3rd and 2nd... I live about an hour and a half from EESA so I was thinking now that I have my M4 I can dust out my Rem 870 tactical mag. and have some fun with the toys. :) Do I need to take some other course or do I just show up and shoot??

Also in terms of gear what is required?

You do need all of that. For the AR15 pouches I like the Bladetech ones (you'll need at least 4) and for shotgun - the fastest is the speed strippers (e.g. 8 x 4 rounds). The max round count is 32, so you need to plan for carrying at least 32 rounds of ammo on you, in case of the long course started with an unloaded gun.

As for gear? what do I need? mag pouches, ammo belt ??

You can use your belt you have for IPSC with the blade tech pouches for AR mags and the California Speed Strippers for your shotgun, or you can use a MOLLE belt set up with pistol and Rifle mag pouches attached, or if you want to run a Vest of some sort with pistol, rifle mag pouches and shotgun shingles on it. But just remember you have to carry it and that will hold enough ammo to do any stage that the evil minds design.
