thinking of getting a mosin nagant

So got a '44 tula round chamber matching numbers on everything except bayonet they only had 4 left this was the best looking one but I'm kinda skeptical about the crown on it being rounded instead of squared off

There may have been some damage to the muzzle or crown that would've required counterboring when it was refurbed after the war.

Onos, just buy it and shoot it!!!! Might be a good idea (depending on how recoil-sensitive you are and how long your arms are) to snag one of those Remington recoil pads from WalMart. For about $13 you get a slip-on recoil pad and an extra inch of length-of-pull - it may make the rifle for comfy for you to shoot.

Round receiver is fine. Get some cheap led flashlight and check bore. If store won't let you to check it - I'd just walk away ;]

good advice on the cheap recoil pad, the length of pull is VERY short, and you can use it on other milsurps down the road as well to add length of pull and recoil reduction

Bore looks good I was able to see it with my cell phone light I'll post pictures once I know how to if I can directly from my phone? Or I could make a video showing it and put on YouTube? Just wish they had had ammo for it there

So I guess that's my next question where can I get ammo for it on Vancouver island? Lol crappy tire sells the gun but never ordered any ammo

She's cute! I notice the Bolt is turned down, basically Not straight like all the ones Ive seen, is this something they did on some of the Sniper Versions?

The bent bolt is to clear the scope on the sniper rifles. I just recieved 4 b grade ( shooter grade) Mosin's from the sale at TSE, delivered/taxes in for all 4 was $437.!!! They were in as good shape as what local ctc have for $169. maybe a few more scratches on the wood, bores are very good.

My 1926, 27 & 28 hex receivers. Two from private sales, one from CT.

Nice, like the tiger stripe, did you do it?
OP, as you can see, these Mosin's, are just like SKS in that they tend to multiply!! you will also experience Pain/grinning and outright laughing, all at the same time!!

Da ! Get it ! You will not regret it. In fact you will find it hard to put away and not shoot it! Welcome to the ranks comrade !

I got it as seen in the videos I posted last night but I can't find ammo for it other then the big case of surplus they gave at wholesale sports and don't feel like spending that much on ammo atm

onos, if you don't feel like buying whole case - check westrifle. They have smaller size packages of surplus ammo.

The funny thing is I love surplus rifles and i Don't even own a mosin, I guess I always end sinking my money into more rare and expensive one's. But one day I would love a sniper model
