Thinking of getting my first black rifle suggestions please

A dedicated .22lr AR is restricted but has no magazine capacity limit, this is a RRA .223 AR lower with a CMMG .22lr upper:

The Beretta ARX-160 is non-resticted and can use Colt M4-22 magazines that have no capacity limit:

The SR-22 as has been mentioned already is non-resticted but limited to 10 rounds:

sometimes at night, I hear them in the safe talking.... trying to find a way out!

Yea I bet you do. If you take any performance-enhancing drugs for the love of all that goes bang, please keep it away from your safe, they're like gremlins, they'll be popping out everywhere.
Dam what am I saying, jeeze if you have some ######, open the safe and throw some in. :) lol. If it works let me know I'll see my doctor so fast his head'll spin :) :)

Pietta PPS/50 Wildcat Rimfire Rifle (1 x 30rd stick mag - drum mag not included) anyone know anything about this one, it's on sale at a sponsor here Frontier Firearms in close out sales, so I don't know what that says right there, it's selling for $300 something. I've never heard of it, have you? Is it good, bad, just ok what do you know? I could have swore it said two mags

If you're only going to use it at the range, the M&P 15-22 is a no brainer. It's the only .22 out there that that I'm aware of to feature a functional bolt release with last shot bolt hold open to fully replicate the AR-15 manual of arms. Field stripping is the same as the center fire version, the trigger group is also standard AR-15 fare. Pricing isn't far off what a dedicated upper alone would cost (and you'd still need a lower to put it on). Reliability is best in class. Mags are cheap and plentiful, tough and reliable, easy to load, and fit into traditional AR mag pouches, Not to mention it's a ton of fun to shoot, and after you get a centre fire big brother (which you will, it's only a matter of time) you'll still have a complete rifle to go out and plink away with.

Only downside is the 10 round mag limit, but drum mags are out there if that's your cup of tea.

Have you looked at the gsg-15, cheaper then the Sr.-22 from Germany with a lifetime warranty. Was looking at one myself.

I should have stated in my original post that I'd like non restricted so I can use it for small game hunting, I've always wanted a 10-22 but the ten round mag limit is a bulls#!t turnoff. I'm assuming the m&p 15-22 is restricted seeing you asked if I'd be using it at the range only.

I'd take a look at the Anschutz MSR.

By the time you tweak something cheaper, you'll be into this price range anyway.

I'd avoid the 1022 options because of the mag limits.

Finally decided on the GSG-15, looks good, not heavy, and has good reviews. Was between the GSG-15 and the SR-22, I like the look of the GSG-15 plus it's not as heavy as the SR-22 and both are non restricted.
