Third Milsurp Online Match - Just built the 1,000 yard range, see page 14

Anyhow when is this online competition happening? I need time to get my ammo supply up and do some reloading

Yikes, I'm going to be competing against handloads with factory XD. Oh well, may as well try anyways.!

It's not the handloads that are accurate, it's the Ross MkIII that they get shot out of! Lol ;)

Notice I said the Ross and not me, I'm ok at best:)

I made it out today. The weather was nice at first while getting set up. But then it got crappy. Today I am only submitting a 100 yard group from my Garand. 2 strikes were high just off the paper. The wind blew the target out of my hands and I couldn't catch it going across the deep snow. I sent my yellow lab after it, and she retrieved it! That made my day.
I also had a nice group with my Jungle carbine, unfortunately they were all too low. next time

Hi there, I'm assuming I can use my k31 with a k4 Weaver scope in the 'sniper' class? I would like to also shoot my 1900 m96 but it has Swedish diopter/peep sights installed, is there a class for this?

Thanks

I think i will partake in this. RC k98 i just de cosmo'd or my no4mk1*.. sks i guess could go to but.. unlikely. All 3.. its settled lol. So just print the target as is ? bout the size of a single lined piece of paper?

Yup, print it out on 8.5x11 inch paper and have at it.

So I read the acceptance criteria and it looks like my rifle meets it but want to confirm. I just finished restocking my Norwegian M59F1 clone project rifle and want to do the 300m with it.

-Rifle designed 1959 used by Norwegian military.
-Receiver dated 1942 so barrel length of 27" is good to go? (pre 1945).
-Post front sight, Busk rear sight, stock M98 trigger.
-Chambered in 7.62x51NATO
-11 pounds.

How about upsizing the target so that is visable at 200 and further distance. We shot the targets during the last match and found at 200 the target was just doable with irons, at 300 no one could see the target with milsurp iron sights.
Just a thought.

I could see the target pretty well at 300 and even hit it at 500 if I recall. I wasn't aiming for the black bullseye though. I was aiming for the white piece of paper on the black background.

From the first milsurp postal:

Here's another one from a cpl years ago. That white speck to the right of the poles shows up because it is on a black background. Quad is just left of the target frame. That is at 500 yds.

All good in my books.
