You can put it on any target backing you like, nobody would have access to larger printer formats so we'll stay as is, it would push a lot of folks out. It's doable to at least 500 yards as redryder demonstrated, very well, in the first shoot. Just consider the white page the bullseye. Happy shooting folks!

All good, the sights are just noted in the results, there's a mention for best stock performance, so it's not going to step on anyone's toes. Other is good for sniper, yep.
 
I'll be going out Monday with another board member to shoot the 100yard target with my scoped K31. He's still undecided on what he will be shooting, we may even do the 200 if we can get out to put our targets up. I'll update the thread with the target results and some pics by Monday night.

Well it was a beautiful day here so I headed to the range and fired off a few rounds with the Israeli K98k I'm entering. Below is a pic of the two targets I shot today at 100yds and of the rifle. It is all stock and unaltered, complete with the brutally creeping trigger.:D I should also add that the ammo was IVI 79 surplus.

Now, are these the only 100 yd targets I can enter? I did shoot some better groups while sighting it in but unfortunately they weren't on target. I'm definitely going to be heading to the range more frequently now that it's warming up and I'd like to see if I can get some better scores to enter.

M1 Garand @100 yrds

Went out to the range today, only -6 so best get while the getting is good.

Took out the No4 MK1 and the Garand.

Best I could get today with the Enfield was a 52, I won't post that score.

My best was with the Garand, even managed a bull.

Hey guys,

I made it out to the range solo today, my shooting partner wasn't able to come out. I decided to shoot my 1942 K31, it has a 4x Weaver K4 scope mounted to it, I took all my 10 shots at 100yds (5 shots per target sheet). I have put 5 shots in one inch using this combo many times before, but unfortunately today was not one of those times.

Here are the pics, one of the target has 2 shots that look to be slightly closer to bull than the 10 ring, but I'll let the board decide what the score is.

I would like to also ad that even with a 4x scope it was difficult holding a consistent point of aim as the targets are a bit small. I understand that most people only have access to a standard printer/sheet, but I think there is plenty of room on this size sheet to accommodate a bigger diameter target circle (which may be helpful beyond 100yds...).

Thanks for putting this shoot together, I do also plan on shooting with my M96 in the non sniper class sometime this week.

The range was pretty plugged up last time I went out, after the foot of snow we got yesterday and the snow in the forcast, might be a little while before I get there again. :(

Forgot to ask; are we only allowed to post one score for a given range?

No sweat, you can post as many scores for a given range as desired. :) No attempts limit. If we get a lot of shooters, as I hope, we'll likely just post your best score, but otherwise all will be included.
