Third Milsurp Online Match - Just built the 1,000 yard range, see page 14

Well did 500 yard irons tonight, had the rifle scoped but arrived at the range to find my mount had shot loose. Explained the end of the previous day. So I pulled the scope and went irons.

Shot 500-14 / 500-15, a poor start but something. I hit 6x12" piece of steel 4 times out of 6 rounds (mag +1) on initial sight in, then my rear sight went loose! On re-sight in I only got 2 and 3 on paper respectively. Targets to come,

Ardent, your targets are cursed! I never get a decent group out of them. Here is the best I could come up with using surplus, in light rain, getting eaten alive by bugs. 1942 91/30 sniper with Chinese ammo.

I have a hard time shooting at 100 at my range cause the tables are so low. This is a ten shot group at 50 using the same ammo. I pulled the two shots to the right trying a different grip. Its not the pipes laddie, its the piper.

Nice shooting Ardent and beautiful rifles!

I sold my Norwegian so I am unable to continue playing. If you bump the allowed rifle action from 1965 up to 1988 I'll start giving you some competition;) Crap turns out the beast is 2 lbs over the weight limit also haha, I tried.

Well we'll be happy to have you back whenever you get a Mauser or something to play with!

I've recorded my edge hit as "0" in the standings until I caliper it, it's really a close call and don't want to make the wrong one. I'm afraid my target overlay pic isn't perfectly laid out, looks slightly off round to me.

We only fired ten at it using the 1000 mark on the Garand sight, even with a 6'x6' board being out just 4 MOA makes you go over or under sight setting wise, no contact on those quick 10. We'll dial it in and be smoking the board next time.

Yep, those are bugs, Northern Air Show runs May thru Sept. :)
