This .22LR shortage is starting to piss me off.

At the Chilliwack gun show just this past weekend, $60.00 bricks was the norm. One of the vendors was even telling people to buy all the .22 ammo they can find because no more was going to be shipped to Canada! No, I didn't buy the BS he was selling and the bricks.

I give A-holes like that an Earful when I cross them @ Gun SHows or else where. Idiots! Too bad BP in Vaugn doesn't have the Gator CCi Mini Mags... I got lots of VIPER .. but still wouldnt mind some CCI Mini Mags.. Trade anyone! :p or for .22WMR

I bet a bunch of them are lurking around here and buying up everything they can when everyone else posts about where they find 22LR ammo available.

People do this to themselves in more ways that one.

Just bought a couple bricks of Federal blue box for $30 each. I'm ok with the price. There was also Thunderbolts, minimags, assorted 22WMR but the prices were getting rediculous.

My local CDN tire has 525 rounds of Remington Golden Bullet packs for $44.99, and the Winchester 222 for $12.99
Contemplated the 222 pack... but ended up passing on this one.

Wow, talk about inflation!!!!! 555\s were going for $19.99 (if not $15.99) when I bought some a couple of years ago!

P&D in Edmonton seems to still be getting 22LR bricks of different types on a regular basis. Every week or two I pick up a brick or two of ammo, different types because I'm trying to see what my 22 doesn't mind eating. They have a bunch of thunderbolt in there when I was in last but I heard that its not the greatest stuff. Still kicking myself for missing the CCI mini mag ammo cans by a day.

Lol, there are usually 2 of us out, but 10/22s do chew up the ammo and I am sure we have a few hits in there somewhere.

Perhaps changing to the bolt actions will conserve some ammo, we shall see.

I agree. I told the kids the 10/22 is broken. Now they will have to use the bolt action.
