This .22LR shortage is starting to piss me off.

My local CT in Yellowknife still has a few boxes of higher-end or imported ammo from Sellier&belliot (CZ) at $6.00 and ELEY(UK) at $10.00. I bought the few boxes of American Eagle they had left.
Wal-mart has none...

The .17HMR becomes more interesting....

Our local Walmart has shelf space for Win 222, Win 333, Dynapoint GT 500 rds, Federal 500rds, and Win Super X 50rds. They are just out of everything right now...

I wonder if walmart is starting to phase out ammo, a new super centre just opened up near me and they are not stocking any ammo. The other one I go to used to have a large display of ammo and now it's been cut in half and hardly has any ammo.

Walmart told me only existing stores that carry ammo will continue to. New stores will not.

i like sail too. because it isnt as packed as basspro you can actually chat with the employees and shoot the #### if you want to. they also dont mind you browsing. however, because they dont have the volume of basspro they also have less stock coming in.

SAIL is a large step above BPS for the reasons you mentioned. I love that store.

Bought some Federal Auto Match 325 count for 29.99 at the local CT store. They had a large pile of it, and lots of S&B SR. Also winchester 222 boxes. Most of it was selling for around 10c a round.
