i avoid it at all costs
But it falls in with their mentality service what service
we don't offer any service here so what can we expect

Awww, c'mon. Who doesn't appreciate and cherish going to their web site, and clicking through 16 selections to get to their fall and winter supplement. First, you click on the Specials page because it lists Remington firearms on sale. What you want is not there. Then you scroll down to Remington firearms. You look and find that you're not on the right page, so you back out, scroll down, click on the next page, and repeat until you find what you're looking for. So, you phone to see if they have it in stock, ask to talk to someone in the Gun Room, and get put on hold for 20 minutes. You hang up, drive to the store, wait at the Gun Room counter while some guy spends half an hour playing with a gun he has no intention of buying, finally getting to talk to someone, then find out it's not in stock.

Geez, some of you guys are just too demanding.

Yeah the website is dated, but they have some good prices and their service isn't any better or worse than other online retailer.
To anyone interested they still have 500rd bricks of Winchester wildcats for 29 a brick

HAHAHA.... This made me laff! They could probably have a huge online sales dept. but.. On another note they do have a lot of great stuff and good sales at times!

I was at P+D today and they have all sorts of .22 ammo, sadly no CCI except for the Quiet stuff. The best I think was Remington Golden Bullet 525 value packs for $33, everything else was priced higher for a similar quantity.

i just ordered a case of federal SV target from target shooting sports. was $399 for 5k rounds. $0.08 isnt too bad and i dont have to worry about ammo for the rest of the summer probably.

SFRC has Federal 525 bulk packs in stock. Get yours while they last! Next best price is $29.99 at Canadian Tire but they've been sold out in eastern ontario since last summer...

wow thats pretty pricey. i picked up two boxes from bass pro on monday and yesterday for $24.99 each. dont know if they will have any left tomorrow though since there were only about a dozen boxes left when i was there today.

I make a lot of trips to Cabela's checking on .22 and .22WMR stock, and am always amazed at how much .17 HMR they have. Subliminally this is building a case for me to buy a .17 HMR....So the pile is getting smaller by the time I buy a .17 last Friday, and I mention to the gun counter guys about it and they say they have a pile in the back, they just haven't put it out yet. I end up getting a Savage BVSS and 100 each of 20gr Hornady and 17gr Remington to try. I shoot the rifle, it loves both, so I go back to buy more. Well, the Hornady was all gone, and there was 13 boxes of the Remington left. I ask the guy if they had more in the back, nope. So being a nice guy, I left the one box of Remington and proceeded to the local CT to buy the 10 assorted boxes they had, that I have no idea of how it shoots. I now have a 'bit' of ammo for the .17, but not that comfortable feeling if you know what I mean. So back to Cabela's every few days checking on three different types of RF ammo....Glad I never picked up that 17HM2 a couple months back, I'd have ulcers for sure!!

I have a bunch a 17g federal and 17g Winchester hv poly tips. They both shoot great through my 17hmr. I tied the Winchester 20g jhp and loved them for gophers. I have found many different prices for the same brands ranging from $12.99 to $19.00. Wholesale sport usually had great prices but low stock. Prophet gun had a pile of the .17hmr Winchester hv in stock at 13.99 Gave me a volume discount for the amount I bought.

Hi Steve we haven't talked since the old shop days nice to see you posting here.
CT & Walmart have a little bit of 17 hmr keep this in mind

Federal Blue box SV LRN is coming back. Bought 3 bricks last night at my club.
Federal White box LRN is coming back, bought 2 bricks at Epps on the weekend.
American Eagle 40g LRN is coming back bought 2 bricks at Rouge River.

I guess there is no shortage, only a lack of CCI.

I thought the rumors of rimfire shortage was greatly exaggerated.

Until I was at Cabela's in Saskatoon the other evening. A friend of mine who was buying a 17HMR , but no ammo available. They went to Walmart, nothing; then Canadian Tire and bought the only 2 boxes left.

The rimfire shelf at Cabela's had some Winchester 22Mag (in an overpriced wooden "collectible" box) and about a dozen boxes of 17HM2.

Not a single round of any type of .22LR on the shelf.

CTC in Winnipeg has lots. CCI, Rem. S&B, Win 222 for $12.99
They even carry .50 BMG!

Sorry to say, I was at CT that you speak of yesterday to get some at $12.99, the price of Win 222 is now $24.99!
Yes, that is correct.

The Win Automatch is $29.95/325rd.

S&B $5.99/50rds.
