This .22LR shortage is starting to piss me off.

I had a bit of a chuckle at the kid in Canadian Tires expense the other day. Went in because the website said they had a few 333 boxes in stock, and when he was taking down my info he asked "do you just want the one box?"

If I wasn't saving most of my "spare" money to bring to Cuba with us next week, I would have told him I'd take it all, and watch his head explode.
 
Well get over it Princess. We tend to be our own worst enemies.
Rather than blaming the manufacturers we should be looking at those who are hoarding and still buying more.
CCI is producing 4,000,000 rounds per day and some is starting to trickle through.
It remains a matter of being at the right place at the right time
I am feeding five 22's. The Marlin can be fed anything, The CZ's are eating CCI MiniMags, and the match rifles are at the "Match Ammo Trough".
Practising conservation without a semi auto has some advantages.
 
At a recent distributor show they were not even taking orders for .22 ammunition. They explained we would have to get online on a daily basis and look for any .22 ammo that was offered of course with no discounts what so ever no matter how large the order. At one point last year a distributor tried to limit the purchase of .22 with the purchase of one .22 rifle (that was harder to sell) you could buy one brick of .22 ammo. We declined but now I'm thinking that might not have been a bad deal. Time will tell. Phil.
 
I was at Cabelas Winnipeg today and couldn't believe how much 17 HMR they had on the shelf. There was no .22LR, but there were the 150 round wooden boxes of Win 40gr JHP. I picked up my ration of two those.
 
Thought I had a small score..canadian tire showed three boxes of Winchester 22 Long Rifle 36-Grain Ammunition 222count in stock...drove to store and staff looked and told me it was an error as someone day before came asking about same .
Sent head office email complaining that they should have data base updated...waisting our time ...
they had three boxes left of ...

not sure if I'm going to order from sfrc and get the bulk ammo they still have...still on the fence
just under $400 delivered for four containers 1400 rounds each..not sure
good deal?
 
Al simmons has a plentiful supply of 22lr at the moment. It came in this morning. Limit of 1000rds though so dont drive to far for it
 
I have not fired a round of .22lr in a few months have about 4500rd still most of that being bulk pack while some is old CIL/IVI right now im sticking to rounds I can reload right now would be a good time for a .22 hornet
