This .22LR shortage is starting to piss me off.

Please one shop sell it cheap. Then Walmart will price match, maybe others too.

the guy i talked to at canadian tire had been the lead gun guy at another store for years and switched over to the can tire team when they started selling guns again. he said the shops can't even change anything. the reason why the ammo is so expensive is because they have to pay a premium for it from their supplier and then who knows what the supplier is paying the manufacturer or any other supplier in between. it's sickening. where i live is a very small town and i know just about everyone. the local co-op knocks the price of ammo down just so i buy there and not out of town. the only thing is all they have is winchester wild cats and bulk 555 packs. they can get the 555 bulk stuff down the $32+tax for me and their apparently only making $2 off of that. i did price it out and the 555 bulk winchester costs me $5 more to buy anywhere else, even big box stores who should be able to give better prices. 2 boxes of the 222 bulk cost nearly that from wholesale sports. wildcats come up to $38 a brick.

Here is what I found in corination ab. Bricks of 500
Wildcats 34.99
Federal 40g solid tip hv 59.99
Federal eagle 41.99
Remington cyclone 31.99
Remington 40g solid tip 27.50

The Federal prices are roughly twice what I paid a mere 2-3 years ago, the Remincrap about +30%, so I will still avoid shooting the .22s I own for the next while.

Im not sure why the federal blue box hv ammo is so much here. In provost they are about 28 plus tax and the fedral eagle sre 25 per box of 400. That price im kinda ok with . Its the low garde ammo that is going for top grade price that confuses me. So many stores ranging $20 per box for the same stuff .

Al Flaherty's has 500-round boxes of M-22 on for $29.99, pick-up only from their store in north Toronto.

My order (3 boxes) came out to 6.5 cents per round, including taxes.

Gas and the time to drive in from the 'burbs to collect are not accounted for in that price :)

I remember being in a store 2 years ago buying a few boxes of federal bulk pack at $20 a box. The sales person asked me if i wanted a case because it included a 10% discount. $18 a box and i said no. Why did i say know. Had i known, i would have bought 3 cases.
