This .22LR shortage is starting to piss me off.

Finally broke down and bought a few boxes of Winchester 333. My pre-shortage Federal Champion ran out a while ago, but I couldn't bring myself to pay the $47.99 for a brick of Rem. Thunderbolt my LGS was asking. I got lucky and made it to the Thunder Centre CT before it was wiped out (has been the last 3 times I checked) and got Win. 333 for $23.99, still pricey ($0.07/rnd). One box of 333 left. Three boxes of 222 for $15.99, and 500 ct. Win. wood boxes for $50.99. They also had full shelves of Aguila 50 ct. for $6.49 and up ($0.13/rnd) Harsh!

What do you guys thing of the Win 333 fodder? My local CT has a few bricks. I will likely buy them tomorrow.
My fodder preference is American Eagle, but I can't find that stuff anywhere!

It sucked cycling in my 1022...I wasn't shooting for accuracy and gave up on it after several stove pipes and a couple of duds.

Was in "The Hammer" yesterday, Fishing World had a ton of Federal for $44 and Thunderbolts $35 along with some CCI Velocitors. With those prices/brands I chose instead to dump my cash into Hornady 17HMR@$15/box and overpaid a bit for some 357Mag.

Simmons was closed (wish they'd change that closing Saturday B.S. in Spring/Summer months) but they usually have a decent supply.

If no one bought the augila ammo at CT. Imo they would have to price adjust.
Im sorry but $65 and $75 a brick!
$105 a brick for rem subsonic! If that isnt insane I dont know what is!

You obviously haven't been paying attention. People have been buying at these prices because they "have" to.

Wby would CT bring in Fed or dynapoint at 31.50 or 42 when they can charge 65 and 75?
So I guess if people are buying at these prices, its fair to put up my 30+ bricks of dynapoint for $75 each!!!
Even though I paid 28 and 31.50 each.

golden bullets in Red Deer Can Tire south still has 21 in stock as of 11am! 1400 rounds @ $95+ tax = .7 Cents a bullet!!!

That's still $3.39@ box. For a bulk packed, lower grade product. Does that seem right to you? The price for plinking grade ammo not that long ago was less than $2.00@ box.

If we accept this as the new price than that's what it shall be.

Some of us have to accept it, its the cheapest I've found in months! figured I'd put it out there for the guys that don't want to pay 13 cents a round +, as for lower grade ammo, this stuff is great! pretty dirty but not a single miss-fire or anything in 500 rounds! trust me if I could find federal blue box bulk id be all over it.

To shoot 500 rounds of golden bullets without a missfire, there can only be a few explanations:

a) they are cranking it out so fast the primers don't have a chance to go bad on the shelf
b) They are shipping so much out they don't have a chance to smash it around on the floor of their shipping department as they like to do
c) shortages of powder have made even remington have to resort to using "the good stuff"
d) They have finally run out of Chernobyl brass coils.
e) you have a magic gun
f) Remington finally started caring about the quality of their ammo.

(I'm going to go with "e" as the rest seem too far fetched) ;)

If you come to my place you can have my box of it, But if you try to shoot it in anything I do not want to hear one word about feeding troubles or dead rounds that do not go bang
