oh how the worm has turned... I was just looking at my 180 cases of once fired and never fired 9.3x62 brass, man if I had dies that 06 might just make it into the locker.

LOL! I've got dies Jarrod, never fear!;) And about one ton of brass and 30 cal bullets I no longer have a use for.

Looks like we may have to go halfers on the 62 Dies afterall!:p But you knew I would come to my senses didn't you?

One man can never hope to use all that brass, but two, well let's see.

TO NOEL>To bad ya missed the really nice Husqvarna they had on the same shelf as the Brno 21H on the other side of the rack. P.S. didn't like the double gun.

All I can say is it's a good thing they don't have pictures to go with alot of those lists of rifles, pictures tend to cost me a great deal of money!

It will be awhile before I look to expand here for sure, I was started on the Husky's and love them! It would have to be a Model 1100 to get me going anymore. I just wish they had a calibre that this fleet doesn't cover.

Nice find. I few of us have been keeping our eyes out for just that gun.

Ralf Martini in Cranbrook has 5 Brno 21's in stock right now: 7x57, and 8x57. I prefer the 22H (shorter barrel) and am waiting for a price on a 21F.

Welcome to the club. There is no cure for the addiction btw.

The Martini-Hagn gun shop is just down the street from me. Ive seen some of the rifles for sale and plenty that they have built. Anything there is simply gorgeous. Amazing craftsmanship and I wish i could afford one! :D

This 9.3x64 is awesome....not to mention their single shots.

Hey Guy's, another boring question but if I remember the other two ZG47's I have looked at, the recievers on them and the bolt handle had a rather rough finish to them, not even just a matte finish. Almost a sandblasted look, did they have different finishes for non glare?
Thanks,
Noel

Logan, the back trigger takes up the slack or free travel like the military rifles have, if you've fired one, you will know what I mean.
Once the back trigger is pulled back, you move to the front trigger which will now be ready to break the sear with minimal effort, more of a hair trigger if you will.

You can also just pull the front trigger without touching the back and it will be similar to the single set military pull, the long free pull and then you would feel the tension of the sear, where it's about ready to make the thunder roll.

Clear as mud!

That is how it was explained to me, I am sure some of these guys can correct me if I'm wrong.

If you pull the front trigger first, the gun will fire. Pull the rear trigger to set the front tigger, and do not put your finger near the trigger until you are ready to fire. I remember the first time I tried mine at the range...

Thanks Brno375, that will make a big difference!:runaway: Sorry for the bad info, I am going to edit that so there is no misleading!;)

Paul, that reminds me of watching guys shoot my Win 70 375H&H. It didn't have the military style trigger, but boy it made me giggle to watch a grown man quiver and shake in anticipation of that big slap to come! Most guys wouldn't shoot it a second time, then there's my wife.:p She would fill up the mag, fire a round, slam in the next one and continue until it was empty! That petite 115lb Lady ain't afraid any rifle!:dancingbanana:

I am undecided which Brno to have her use next fall for her Cow Moose draw, I think I will load them all up and let her try them all. She is the boss.:p

Did you get all your goodies figured out for your new riggin' ?

YA,
it is coming. My buddy in Europe is looking for brass for me, or I will order from Huntingtons. Also, I will give a ring to Redding and RCBS to find out about dies.
The bases on my rifle are custom made, most likely in Europe for Leupold STD rings (bonus) and are nicely high gloss finnished.

There are two common set triggers:
1. German type, has two trigger, one to set it, and second to engade
2.French, most common on rifles now, all CZ550 come with that and most of the German rifles, it has one trigger, which is pushed forward to set it for light push. This is a type I have on my Sauer90.

Aauuuggghhhhhhh!!!!!! It'd be cheaper to move than live that close. They'd have to lock me out to keep me from drooling on the merchandise.

Noel, your latest baby is simply gorgeous. Oddly, there has been a fine 7x57 Brno with DST for sale for ages at the HACS gunshows for quite some time. I didn't make it to the last show but this same rifle seems to have been popping up on one of the sellers' racks over and over again for a couple of years. (Has any Lower Mainland CGN'er seen it?) Last time I saw it, the price was $750 I think. I didn't ask to see it because I knew it would follow me home.

Watch out Stuart, they are very nice rifles. Once smitten, there is no turning back!

Your coming along with your project must faster than you first anticipated then! Great to hear!:)

One more for the Brno guru's out there:

Are the square bridge dovetail widths the same for both the 21H and the ZG47? Will the same scope rings work on both models?
