Oddly, there has been a fine 7x57 Brno with DST for sale for ages at the HACS gunshows for quite some time. I didn't make it to the last show but this same rifle seems to have been popping up on one of the sellers' racks over and over again for a couple of years. (Has any Lower Mainland CGN'er seen it?) Last time I saw it, the price was $750 I think. I didn't ask to see it because I knew it would follow me home.

:) Stuart

I know the rifle you are talking about. If you look close, the action has been repaired (welded). It is not worth the money IMO.

I am really tempted to find another 2.5-8x36 Leupold like what I have on the 7x57. They clear the leaf sights perfectly and have been great for all the situations I've been in so far.

I have a 3-9x40 laying here but Its just too big and cumbersome looking on a sleek little rifle like this.

I am still pondering whether to go gloss or matte, leaning toward the gloss.

Aha.... that would explain its repeat appearances. A rifle like that wouldn't have lasted long otherwise.

:)

That is a beauty rifle Nechako! The rollover of that cheekpiece is great too.
I am hoping The existing Ziess is good to go on the 9,3. If it needs revamping it will either get the 1.75-6 or another 2.5-8. As boring as it may be to have the similar scope on all three rifles, I just love the look of and feel a compact package delivers. I would agree your 3-9 suits your 30-06(?) very nice.

A buddy at work might buy my 3-9 for his 7Mag, so this will give me a chance to put my favorite glass on! I am almost like an arms dealer at work now, sold the Browning high power to another co-worker!lol :p

Thanks again for the EAW vote Kristian. I had a hard time finding them and will look some more!;)

Mine is a 7x57, I wish it was 9.3x62.
I know what you mean about having a compact setup. Post some pics when it's done.

 You must have some 175 RN's loaded up in that pic then, they are decieving!

I will be sure to post pics man, of the whole stash!:D

The Checkering on your stock looks origonal Brno, same as the 9,3 I just got, but the stock is totally different. Is yours a custom Jobby? Maybe this is one of those slight differences within a model that has already been mentioned here.

Mine has the cheek piece but no raised comb at all. Interesting!

I'm pretty sure the cheek piece was added by the previous owners dad, who was a gunsmith. The weird thing is that the wood looks identical and there is basically no seam between it and the stock, just good woodwork I guess.
It wasn't till after I bought the gun and was polishing the stock that I noticed. It's a bit weird looking but works well so I don't mind.

Some more pics.

That is a great rifle for a great price! I would agree with the comment that the shooter must have used a scope, does it (comb hieght) help withthe scope alignment?

That black diamond inlay is nice too, my 21H as well as any other i've seen have a steel one to act as a washer for the screw holding the barrel anchored, the bluing rubs off these real quick.
How does she shoot?

Thanks for sharing the pics too!

Where the ZG's more common in one calibre than other like Husqvarna and their 30-06/270 favoritism?

Of the four I've seen so far including the ones here, they have each been a different caliber, a refreshing change!
