This is exciting news for M14 lovers

I will happily supply these stocks if/when they become available. Right now, the pic is all the info we have. Although it was a 2010 Fall announcement, nothing has made it to production yet.

I have been thrilled and very surprised at all the Promag Archangle stocks I have tried. They are most certainly an injection molded polymer but of the highest grade.

Similar to your poly HG's and big name rifles.

Molding have been excellent with little to no seam lines and the rigidity rivals mega dollar composite stocks - and yes, I have taken the TARGET stock and applied a goodly amount of force.

R&D is fun....

If their products continue to price like the 10/22 stuff, the Cdn retail will be LOWER then US MSRP.

You can look at my website to see my Cdn pricing and compare to US MSRP - of course US street price is very different.

So, be good and maybe Santa will find some in production this year??????

Great news mystic. Keep us Nutz informed, P&TY...!

I find it hard to believe the price is US$299.00 if the stock is made in the United States out of carbon fiber, aluminum and plastic.

This is what the sign behind the 2 stocks says... "Reinforced" by C/F, not "made of"...

"Precision stock for the Springfield M1A1
Drop-in fit, no gunsmithing required
Constructed of a proprietary carbon-fiber reinforced polymer
Aluminum replacement __________"
(can't read the last word)

"ArchAngel Marauder 10/22
Drop-in fit requires no gunsmiting
proprietary carbon fiber reinforced polymer construction
will endure a lifetime of hard use"

Not to mention what Mysticplayer just said (if he gets them they might be cheaper than $299)...

At the risk of inflating Jerry's ego, he is essentially a value king. When it comes to the best quality with the lowest price, he knows what he is talking about. I'm getting one now, and I don't even have an M14 yet.

Like all things, the announcements are geared for SHOT Show.

The usual process is get preproduction teasers to shows in the summer and fall. Judge what the reaction is like. Get the business plan in place for SHOT - go get orders.

some companies will then tool up and have kit later that year. Others will just pull the lever and let the games begin.

Given that you don't make injection molded prototypes for S&G's, the tooling is in place. They just need to load up the goop and pull the lever.

Expect the first several batches to already be sold out - that's the whole reason for preproduction shows. We will likely see teaser volumes before the spring through the summer as demand usually far outstrips supply.

They add more tooling and by the fall/winter, volumes are steady and prices start to edge down.

That was what happened with the AR-10/22 kits. I can't see them doing things any differently.

I want one. Thanks for the heads up on this cool stock.

I am hunting for one now. Sent an email to wolverine to see if they can get them in.

Both those stocks (10/22/G36 and the M-14) look awesome. Price is great too. Not everybody needs a Bugatti-level stock (with the associated price tag)...most of us just want to shoot something functional and fun :)

other than the Norinco M14 knock offs, do we have any other options on something non-restricted in Canada to put in one of these?

I don't know I think personaly I would rather have that ninja pirate stock that M14Doctor has in the works;

I guess it's exciting that someone has taken someone else's product and made an exact copy, except presumably of crappier quality. Maybe they should have worked on developing their own stock. Problem is you rapidly discover that you can't make it that cheap if you have to do all your own development and actually provide a quality product, both at the same time. I have no use for people who just rip of the ideas of others to make a quick buck and I won't buy this even at the price that is being bandied about.

what about the M-305?

I sent them an e-mail yesterday. This is their reply:

Hello Sir,

Thank you for your inquiry.

We do not sell or ship to anyone outside of the U.S.

Not sure when the M1A Archangel will be available, hopefully soon.
