Good on you for hunting with a rifle we're constantly told is not for hunting.
And good luck!
Agreed. I'd use one too if I could afford one!

The venerable Lee-Enfield is probably still the most widely used big game rifle in this neck of the woods.
The NEW KING did the job on another moose this year! Perfect size bull for good meat quantity and quality, and died right on the road too! Cant get better than that!
A 250gr TTSX to the chest made soup out of his lungs. He still wanted to walk a bit and I wanted him to stay put so I put one in the neck behind his ear and he dropped.

I have the same, which was passed on to me when my Dad passed away. Mine is a Husqvarna model 4000 light weight with VERY nicely figured wood and it was Dad's pride & joy. I used it on my first Mule Deer hunt on draw in Alberta with my Daughter and Son In Law. When the time comes
, at my Daughters request, it will be passed on to my eldest Granddaughter. Besides myself,
she's one of the very few others in the family that's right handed.

I've been drawn for late season bull moose. I intend to hunt with my.A-bolt II in the venerable 325wsm. I already nailed a nice blackbear with it this fall. A friend of mine (who also shoots 325) refers to his as "bang-flop" as that's what happens every time he puts hair in the scope.
