Those Enfield AIA 10 rnd mags from NRMI--Any word?

Tim: There he is!

King Arthur: Where?

Tim: There!

King Arthur: What? Behind the rabbit?

Tim: It *is* the rabbit!

King Arthur: You silly sod!

Tim: What?

King Arthur: You got us all worked up!

Tim: Well, that's no ordinary rabbit.

King Arthur: Ohh.

Tim: That's the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on!

Sir Robin: You tit! I soiled my armor I was so scared!

Tim: Look, that rabbit's got a vicious streak a mile wide! It's a killer!

Sir Galahad: Get stuffed!

Tim: He'll do you up a treat, mate.

Sir Galahad: Oh, yeah?

Sir Robin: You manky Scots git!

Tim: I'm warning you!

Sir Robin: What's he do? Nibble your bum?

Tim: He's got huge, sharp... er... He can leap about. Look at the bones!

King Arthur: Go on, Bors. Chop his head off!

Sir Bors: Right! Silly little bleeder. One rabbit stew comin' right up!

Haha I love that movie!!!!

I remember burnin thru crates of .303 in the Bren and crates and crates of x39 in the horde of d model sks's I owned back in the first 1/3rd of the 90's , all with no silly mag restrictions.
meh..... everyone just wants to ruin our fun...

Ha, you shoulda seen me on the .50 cal! We used to rattle 50 round belts thru it. Every 5th one was a tracer, and there was a 'rapid fire' switch that was just plain silly. Supposed to be the "anti-aircraft mode", but you'd burn thru that belt in less than ten seconds! You hit an "armoured" personnel carrier with a few API rounds, and it's just a mess inside.
I'm not really in the paper-punching/micrometer-measuring set either. Once I get the weapon sighted in properly, I much prefer shooting up old
cars and other ####e like that.

What news from the NRM supply depot?

I ordered a pack of AIA mags from Wolverine...should have them next week. Can hardly wait...

Yeah. I ordered one from Grumpy about six weeks ago, and received it the following week.

I've not gotten any updates from NRM since I placed my order with them back in... May.
IIRC, NRM informed some of their other customers that the IAI mags would be available-- sometime this year....

I think it would be good business practice on the part of NRM to inform their customers awaiting shipment of these long overdue magazines
of the situation from time to time (monthly?) even if only report that there's been no progress to date. They must be able to do that with a
few clicks of a mouse. That way we wouldn't get the feeling that NRM has forgotten about us (or our investment).

The magazines are still coming. We're having some difficulties with the technicalities related to the manufacturing process though. I wish I could give you more information, but we don't have any more available.

Sigh..........

So i was just sent this by NRM.
Dear Kim Jacques,

This email is being sent to you with regard to your AIA Enfield magazine order.

With a heavy heart, Northern Republic Magazine Inc.'s AIA Enfield magazine project has been terminated. We've endured quite a few set backs in the process, including manufacturing delays and the RCMP's change in capacity ruling. Now with the presence of competing AIA Enfield magazines in our tiny Canadian market, the manufacturer (Checkmate Industries) and Northern Republic Magazine Inc. have mutually decided that this project is not financially feasible.

Your pre-order will be refunded over the next few weeks. We ask that you please bear with us as we work through this. If you wish to use your pre-order deposit money for alternate items in our inventory, that can be arranged by sending an email to: sales@northernrepublicmagazine.com. All pre-orders will be refunded in full prior to December 31, 2014, unless alternate arrangements are made for substitute items with Northern Republic Magazine Inc.

Also, to show our sincere gratitude to you as a loyal customer, I wish to personally thank you for holding with your order. As a token of this appreciation, a discount code has been generated for you. This discount code is for 10% off any one (1) order (big or small). To use this discount code, simply type your AIA Enfield order number into the coupon code section during check out when you place your next order. For example, if your AIA Enfield order was #0054, then type: 0054, into the coupon code location during check out on your next order. However, please be advised that for accounting purposes, we ask that you apply this discount before December 31, 2015.

Should you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you again,

Northern Republic Magazine Inc.

The last email I received assured me the mags were still coming. So I assume this company knew they were being untruthful to me. Now they hope I will spend my money on their product instead of giving me a refund?

I will absolutely NEVER deal with this company again.

I dunno man, that's a bit harsh I think

these guys tried to do us a solid and pretty much have had their knees cut off with the arrival of the elander mags.
the business is very cut throat and this kinda exposes that.
my guess is the cord was cut at checkmate and our friends at NR magazine probably had tied hands.

I got the email. There was a thread somewhere on here about the whole story.

Basically the e-lander mags came in sooner than they thought and there were still some difficulties in the NRM manufacturing process. They have now decided that it is not in their best interest to continue with this project.

They also offered a discount code for everyone that was on the preorder and are refunding all funds.
I think that is a pretty upstanding deal from these guys.

Im pissed about being blatantly lied to!!!

NRM

In that email they assured me "They are still coming." just smoke up my ass apparently.

Just get your money back and buy an E-Lander?
They were working on getting a 10 round "Enfield" mag in for us before anyone else.
It fell apart unfortunately and another dealer imported the same product made by a different company while they tried desperately to get the deal done and save financial crisis and a large business investment. All to bring you impatient douches a product you've been dying for for years remember.....
S**t happens, the gun market in Canada is small and twitchy like that and we have to live it because our ### laws are what they are.

Not everything is a conspiracy. It fell apart, it happens, they are offering refunds AND a 10% discount off anything in store before 31 Dec 2015!?
Those f**king MONSTERS!!! :runaway:

Jesus Christ, breathe people, it helps with circulation etc......

So much fury, impatience, mistrust and drama. I could never be in retail - I'd go all "John at Marstar" on those little people and my business days would end.

I got the email - I understand. I'll get the refund and buy something else, maybe from NR.

I just don't like being lied too. Simple as that. Had they been more honest with me I wouldnt be bitter.

And I probably would have ten round mags by now too. Instead I let them sit on several hundred dollars for close to a year for lies.

NRM must have had a good chunk of their own money invested (in addition to our pre-sale orders) to consider the short bodied E-Lander 10x rounders such a threat financially that they pulled the plug on the project.
Either that or they were being asked to commit to a huge number of these magazines beyond our pre-order numbers, and they felt the market share the E-Landers scooped up would leave them sitting on a bunch of full bodied 10x rounds mags they couldn't sell.

I bought a 5x pack of the E-Landers while waiting for my NRM order, and would have likely bought even more of the full length mags in the future. I might be in the minority because in the end I would have spent close to $1,000 on mags for my favorite rifles...but I'm also one of the guys always finding a way to afford more .50 BEO mags for my AR's!

Admittedly I'm a little pissy about still not having my refund back yet but I think this is all part of the pre-sale gamble in the Canadian Firearms industry.
In the end, I applaud NRM for taking on the project and trying to bring a much sought after magazine option to market.

And finally, for the record (and last time I'll beat this dead horse! :)) I think the long bodied mags would have outsold the short bodied E-Landers, for me at least.
