All,
Recently I bought a 2.75" only shotgun. I took it to the patterning board with my favourite loads and with the tested ammo, Remington express long range 5s and 6s, I noticed my pattern is about 10% more dense with an ic and lm choke than the pattern thrown from my 3" shotgun. This shotgun uses the same chokes (invector plus) as my other shotguns and for the most part I only use light mod and imp cyl even when I shoot trap (hunting practice for me).
So, I decided to pattern my trap loads and yup, maybe a little less improvement but still more dense than in my 3" gun. Anyone else have this experience? I guess it may make sense considering the pellets are going directly into a forcing cone.
