Thoughts on Aimpoint PRO?

I have an Aimpoint PRO on a DDV11. I like it alot, its battery life is supposed to to a couple years while ON and I chose Aimpoint from what I read about the durability. I'm sure there are many other options and others will post their experiences with Aimpoint and other companies. I've only used my rifle at the range and it has worked flawless so far.

I have been thinking about one of them as well. Had one on order a while ago but it was taking far longer than I wanted to wait ao I canceled it. The only complaints I have heard about the pro is the factory locking mechanism sticks out a bit IMO not a big deal. Still looking to replace my Eotech and don't want to spend another $1000 on a T2. Great bang for the buck. I wonder if the pro will be compatible with the 6x magnifier aimpoint is releasing

Absolutly love mine.

Tough as hell, holds zero perfectly

The 2 MOA dot helps a lot with longer engagements.

Battery life if phenomenal, give or take 3 years.

I bought one while deployed in 2010/2011 and it came back with me and still in use on my DDMK18.

If you find one, buy it thwy are worth it

Very happy with the one I had. Less glass tint than cheaper red dots but still not crystal clear like the T and M series Aimpoints. Good middle ground that most shooters wouldn't care to pay nearly double the price to get away from. The clarity helps with low light shooting. Overall they're an excellent value and one of my favourites. I found it much nicer than the Vortex RazorHD red dot.

They are durable/reliable, the real deal. Well rated and used by people who are in harms way (not me), so to say. I have a couple and would buy again.

I have a PRO on a Sig M400. QR is solid, has a nice clutch function that avoids over tightening. I've had it on and off a couple of times and holds zero. Downside is perhaps X1 magnification - I have no rail room for a magnifier - but I've used it out to 200 yards on steel plate without a problem. Pretty nice kit.
