thoughts on ruger 44 carbine

.Didn,t get the penatration I thought I would.Loaded it with H110 powder and 240 grain bullets.

I have shot plenty of deer with a 44 (mostly 1 shot kills), and only ever recovered one bullet..This was from a buck that weighed around 240 dressed that was quartering away. Took out the futhest back rib, and lodged under the hide where the neck meets the brisket...Thats with white box Winchesters...Perfect penatration...

The 44 mag seems like a great caliber. Any way you look at it, 240 grains is a lot of bullet.

I pounded that deer in the vitals at under 30 yards and then put it out of its missery with my knife.Killed over 50 deer with guns and bows and loved playin with that 44 semi,but not for deer.

Do you know where the vitals are

You must be jokeing, no-one person could make that much #### up at once
