threading a 10/22 heavy barrel

If I had the time I would do it for you...........ANY ONE with a understanding of thread cutting on the lathe, and a understanding of grinding their own high speed steel bits can and will cut just about any thread onto the barrel for you.........No big deal...........

Fire some calls into smaller machine shops and lug around a case of beer or similar, its not a tedious or time consuming process,
Ideas on TPI for the thread?

Take care

VooDooMan's suggestion sounds good..Look to the local machine shops, any machinist can do that for you.I'd do it for a case of beer or free, but i'm swamped with other crap right now.

You bet.......like Ronin said.
I bet you the machinist / tool maker wouldnt even have to grind his own bit for the threading, cahnces are the roots of that thread are infact reguar 60 degree.........which in that case he would measure TPI - Thread Per Inch, Slam the barrel into the lathe and turn away.

Good luck
