While returning from a walk in the woods looking for whitetails, I heard the barking of a coyote not too far off in the bush (~11:30am). Just for fun I gave a cottontail call a few blows only to have a bush rabbit run in out of nowhere and stop about 6 feet away, staring at me (first time I've called in a rabbit with a wounded rabbit call  )

I figured that the coyote couldn't be far behind, and, sure enough, a bouncing blond 'yote came in through the bush. One 'yote turned out to have a partner. First shot was followed by a quick second at the 'yote on the left - two down!!!

As I was topping up my mag a blur of fur caught my eye - was the second one up again? Kaboom, check it out, three 'yotes down! :)

That's a first.

130 grain Barnes TSX in the .270 Win Tikka 695.

i'm thinkin of gettin into coyote hunting here in B.C...... one question though... what does one do with them after shootin em dead?

I used the 130 grain Barnes Triple Shock bullet in a .270 Win (Tikka 695). The range was 20-25 yards (in bush).

This load worked flawlessly during our trip to South Africa this summer on critters as small as jackals (rips 'em up pretty hard) up to Kudu, Hartebeest, Impala, etc.

This was the first time I had a chance to try the load on coyotes. The result was a wee bit more expansion that I expected (not that that's a bad thing).

Each of these 'yotes had "opened hand"-sized (or bigger) exit wounds. The TSX's open up very fast but they hold together extremely well for excellent penetration on bigger game.

Nice going, A-Zone. Thanks also for the TSX report. I'm using 160's in my 7 Rem. Mag. for the first time and worried about them opening up and thought they would probably pass through a 'yote and leave me with a fine rug. I guess I will have to re-think that and use my .223 instead.
