How are the ticks in your areas so far? This has been the worse year as far back as I can remember at my place. Going to be a problem for turkey season!!

I’m a hunter/ dog groomer in Grand Forks BC. Im finding tick on dogs already, so they are out and about in the bush here.

I've already pulled 4 off myself and the dog has had at least one per day. But she runs the bush whenever she wants.

Killed my first of the year on Wednesday.

We got a foot of snow and -15°C the next day.

Snow's virtually all melted today, just pulled one off one of our dogs this morning (and beheaded it).

I hate ticks

We've pulled several off our younger lab already this year.

Haven't got any on my dog yet. I get them in the fenced area, just letting my dogs out.

Seen the Tick chart at my Vet office, already had numbers on it. When I was in last month. So they're out.

Depends on your area. Some areas have Lyme disease, some don't.

Never had a tick in my life.

Dog ticks can carry rocky mountain spotted fever and tularemia.

Not as bad as deer ticks though, but still no bueno.

Has anyone seen any Lone Star ticks in Canada?

I recently read that some poor guys have developed an allergy to meat after getting bit. Alpha Gal Syndrome.

That would end me.

Pulled on off myself a couple days ago. Deer tick- but just attached for less than a day so no issues... Gotta keep an eye around here- lots of ticks.

We had a lonestar tick in our tent when camping north east of Drumheller two years ago. We only seen the one. It did not live long.
