I've posted this over at Vault's forum as well when I discovered that others were having the same issue I was. 2 of the 3 factory magazines were incredibly tight and wouldn't fit the gun. These two had specific issues of a slightly larger spine that was easy to correct with very slight "squishing" of the sheet metal body. That said, they all shared another problem. The tab at the back of the floor plate extended beyond the magazine body - and would jam into the mag well - making things very tight.
Here's a few pics of how I corrected this with a very simple bend. Crappy cell phone camera, so I apologize in advance about the quality of the images.
You can see in this pic how close the tolerance is at the spine of the magazine. The un-altered magazine floor plate would wedge into the polymer groove, and jam up the magazine insertion and removal pretty well. Not wanting to damage a $2400 gun, I bent up the tab to clear the back of the mag well.
I had tested my theory by removing the floor plate and trying the insertion of a magazine. Fit was fine. I gently bent the sheet metal tab to 90 degrees, and re-installed it. Mags work well.
Here's a side view of the mag after the subtle bend.
Hope this helps anyone with the same issue I had.
