Tika mag

Does anyone make a decent mag for a Tika T3 Sporter in 223 ? I can't understand why a company would sell a rifle like that with a plastic POS mag like that .

You could always modify it so it takes Sako metal mags. They only cost $250-300 each.

What's wrong with them,Tikka mags?
They fit snug and dont make any noise, they dont jam ever...
Slim profile and lightweight for extra one in pocket...they dont break easy... Really dont need anything better for a gun clip...

You're quite right. Most pocketable mag in the industry. Rounded like a bar of soap. There's nothing not to like about tikka mags.

At the end of the day, $100 for a quality T3 5-round mag isn't going to break the bank.

I really like the idea of a mag than doesn't bend when dropped, or rust under my sweaty palms. :)

I think based on materials used and with nowadays technologies where it dont take time to make things like before,
$100 for Tikka mag is a bit steep hill. Especially if one has two or three diferent calibers with different action lenght...not like .243 and .308 where in Tikka or Sako you can use same mag...

6.5x55, 30-06, and 300 Win Mag all use the same magazine, which is pretty cool.

OK I'm in for these Lucky 13 mags. Who in Canada is stocking them?

Moe
Not sure. I was talking with the guy down under that sells them though. There is a $60 shipping fee, and you need to send them a picture of your firearms licence. I was going to maybe order a bunch and put them on the EE for my cost.

+1 built like a tank. Far better than the plastic AICS mags I had for 223.

Only problem with the Tikka Mag vs AICS is your not gonna get an 80 or 82 gr. bullet to work in the Tikka mag (.223)..they are waay to short. Id say the plastic AI mags are built like a tank..they are very good.

Maybe it is only these two then , can't load 5 rounds in either without fighting with them , can only get 3 then if you fiddle enough sometime the follower will move down further and let you do the other 2 . Had them apart , checked them can't see anything wrong , also have to reach into the action and push the bullet down for it to pick up the next round quite often .
