CZ and Tikka had a competition on a scout gun for the canadian armed forces apparently it was a pretty close race but tikka wonGents what’s the consensus other than overpriced. I fondled one in Cabela’s. Smooth action, I like the iron sights, not sure about trigger since they won’t take trigger lock off to test. If you can find Sako iron sight set I guess you can make one from a cheaper version. I see a CSC has one for $2700. Thoughts.
Tikka won by allowing Colt Canada to service the rifles, for Canada.
Which I guess is a deal compared to what our Government agreed to pay for these things through Colt...like $8k a piece.Actually Colt Canada is producing the bolt, barrel and receiver under license from Sako - that's why they won the new Ranger rifle contract.

If you buy an Arctic it is all produced by Sako (Tikka)
This rifle is fantastic! Long sight radius and nice heavy barrelI find the retail price offensive lol.
I'd buy a Garand if you are horny for decent iron sights, save a few bucks and you get a semi.
Even these old S&L converted K98's that Tradex had for under $500 are pretty sweet, and chambered for a better cartridge.

Did Colt Canada get bought up by CZ or they still a Gov leech here?
Have a stainless ctr in a t3x sporter stock with arctic sights. All the good bits and none of the silly it’s great. I’d like a 2 stage trigger though. View attachment 876204
