Actually darryl he was using factory rounds..Unless the factory used the wrong powder

Hornady factory rounds.
Yeah, like the federal 22 LR bulk packs that blew up two barrels out of the same lot, the same day. One Cooey model 60 that belonged to a buddy, and a model 64 that belonged to me.
Or the double charged Expert 12 guage loads from Winchester last year i had to send back, or the New Remington Core Lokt Ultra rounds that wouldnt fire out of 2 separate 308 rifles tried? Hard primers seated about .100 deeper than the rim.
Never a fault form the factory with Ammo.
Ever read the disclaimer?
Im not hacking on you Machine, but still there are more variables that could have caused a catestrophic failure than the rifle. What round did her fire before the Hornady factory round, or 10 rounds ago for that matter? My point being, there is usually a darwinism behind most catestrophic failures like this. I know someone that thought it would be smart to shoot a 308 win out of a PH 270 win.
Did it go bang? yes.
Did anyone get seriously hurt? No
Was the gun completely ####ed and the stock splintered? Yes.
MOral of the story, he was lucky, but could have killed himself being an Idiot.
Point beng, this guy could have been testing his new fandangled load that gets 500 fps faster than factory in the new strong tikka action, but he couldnt handle the recoil. So he switched to factory ammo, and his gun blew up
Sometimes #### happens for no apparent reason but that seems to be the exception rather than the rule.
