Tikka questions

Also looking for a good factory hunting load for the 30-06, anyone have any tried and true suggestions?

I put Millet angle lock rings on my new Tikka thinking them to be a temporary solution until I could find some Tikka brand rings. Haven't had reason to change them yet. As for factory loads in 30-06, my gun shoots Cor Lokts better than Federal or Winchester loads, using 180 grains.

I have a Tikka T3 Lite Synthetic Blued 30-06 with VXII 3x9x40 Wide Duplex MATTE scope. My current Scope mounts are Burris Zee Rings Low Black Rings and Weaver #61M MATTE Base. They work very well together for a ring/base setup on the scope.

I used to use Leupold base and turn-in rings for all my rfiles until one set broke on my 45/70. I have since switched my new acquisitions to Weaver base and Millet Angle Loc rings including two Tikkas.

They work without any issue. As the saying goes – Don’t fix it unless it is broken.

Take a look at the Warne rings. They are fixed directly to the dovetail and are very solid. highly recommended.

+1

I have the Warne on 2 rifles and they are excellent. Also, you can get them in 2 models: fixed or Quick Detach and in 1" or 30mm. Warne produces medium and high rings in each of the models previously mentioned. Take a look here:

You can get them at a good price here:

I used to have millet rings on my tikka.I had to get rid of them. Not good enough for my 300 win mag. They did'nt hold the scope ,came loose one day when out hunting.

I think the opti lock tikka rings are great, but pricey. I'm not buying millets any more, they've never moved on me, but aligning the scope to the bore is BS with their system.:runaway: Go with something solid, the Dednutz pictured above looks great. Leupold and Buris Zee or similar designs.
