Tikka T1X MTR .22LR WAS on sale until Jan. 4, 2023

Took advantage of the Bullseye sale and picked up Vortex Venom 5-25 to sit on top also Bullseye Black Friday sale. Then ordered the Oryx chassis from MDT along with Arca rail, stock extensions, picatinny rail, Burris XTR Signature rings w/cant inserts, Burris scope level, etc….still waiting for some of the parts to put it all together. Looking forward to getting all together and see how it shoots against the 457 VPC out to 400m. Also scored a Ruger American Long-Range Target rimfire with Sightron III 5-25 scope, coming next week. Let the games begin.

Never let it be said that gun owners are not good for the economy......

The T1X mag well is flared, the mag is tapered and the mag catch is far better than the CZ.
If you ever need to reload on the clock it's a better setup.

As for Anschutz stocks I quite like mine:

But it's definitely not factory.

Thanks! I guess I'm going to have to try it out, but I've experienced far more failures with plastic parts as opposed to metal ones.

It's generally easier to repair metal parts, too.

Your Anschutz stock reminds me of a late 80's/early 90's custom fiberglass benchrest stock.

I haven't seen one of them in a while. It sure beats the fugly ones that Anschutz makes that have a million contraptions protruding from them.

It's close to my favourite colour and it has nice lines. How does it shoot?

LOL! This thread got down-voted to one star.

Somebody must be pissed off that they missed the sale.

Probably the hate on the Anschutz stocks.

I think Tikka should offer barrel actions, for those who want to choose a stock. So I'm curious on what they put out in the future. 22's are like lays chips. You cannot have just 1.

Truer words have never been spoken. They are like rabbits and multiply in the gun cabinet.....

My set up that is yet to be assembled.
1. Tikka T1X from SFRC on sale
2. MDT XRS chassis (Black Friday sale)
3. Athlon Midas Tac HD 6-24x50 (from Jerry at Mystic Precision-awesome service!)
4. Burris XTR signature rings with offset kit (black Friday sale from Stoeger Canada)
5. MDT 20 MOA rail (Cabelas)
6. Wheeler anti-cant level for 30mm tube (Cabelas).

Just waiting for a slightly warmer few hours free to play in the garage and fit it all together.

Edit:

As I wanted to keep the weight down on this build I also got the new lightweight Magpul bipod. That’s also the reason I purchased the Midas-Tac over other models as it’s slightly more compact and lighter. We will see how the bipod works out. I’ll swap it out of it’s not as stable as I hoped.

Haven't shot it yet. It's a hunter silhouette specific stock made by one guy in Washington. I tracked it down used in NC then spent a pile bringing it in.

Tikka has the wood stocked T1X Hunter coming but who knows when we will see them at the stores.

But it's just a wood version of the existing polymer stock, nothing like the Forest stock which would be amazing. Mine should be here in a few weeks and I hope the wood is even half as nice.

Maybe, but I have a feeling that it's KDX's nemesis from OT following me around, too.

The dude does nothing but down-vote threads all day long without commenting. It's really weird.

Barreled T1X actions would be nice.

As for the comparison to Lay's chips, I'm gorging myself on the whole damn bag.

I just picked up my LH CZ 457 Varmint from the Post Office today.

I am one happy rat right now.

What I need now is a nice house on a huge acreage (preferably in the States) where I can shoot all my guns without bothering anyone, or being bothered by anyone.

I never said it was nice or that I wanted one, just that they will eventually be available. I have nothing against the T1X, I have 2 of them. The barreled action is fairly homely looking to begin with.

Paid by EMT on the 4th. Rcmp check the 5th. Tracking number generated on the 6th - doesnt show up yet.

That's because it hasn't been picked up by Canada Post yet. Bullseye just has it ready to ship.

I ordered my LH T1X on the Friday before Black Friday.

It was confirmed by the RCMP and mailed the same day. I received it on Black Friday.

I've also bought firearms from them before, though, and I'm really easy to confirm.

Your order will most likely ship on Monday and you'll probably have it within 7 business days.

They must have been swamped last week, or else they put a hold on EMT orders.

All the firearms on their site went on sale for 10% off. I noticed the Tikka T1X was marked down lower than I saw it anywhere else, and that there were a lot of them in inventory.

I don't think that number had budged from 18 since the beginning of the sale, until the time that I made my original post here on the last day of it.

Then, BOOM!, 7 sell before 9:00pm EST.

Now the number in stock is stuck at 11.

I should have posted the link at the beginning of the sale. More of you guys would have had a chance to scoop one up.

Initial range visit tomorrow. Likely swapping the barrel and building a different trigger blade plus some other trigger work but should at least know how it fits.

What's wrong with the barrel? If it shoots good, I'd leave it alone. It looks nice and heavy, too.

I actually wish that the Tikka T1X barrel was as heavy as the one on my CZ 457 Varmint.

I took another look at your Anschutz and noticed how high the scope is sitting on that riser mount and BKL rings.

FWIW, I like my scopes as low as I can get them. YMMV.

In any case, have a good time at the range!:d
