Tikka T1X or CZ 455

I made mine using a 243 cal comparator with a small stack of washers in the bottom of the adapter so the bullets wouldn't bottom out. the middle of the washer must be big enough that the bullets don't touch and the outside fits snug inside the adapter so they don't move. stack the washers in the bottom until the setscrew just barely holds the comparator. the rimfire case is a nice fit inside the small end of the 243 comparator.

What I have found is sorting for rim thickness makes no difference unless your headspace is tight for your rim thickness. So say you had a .042” headspace and your rims measure .039 to .043 you will find the .039 to .041 shoot the best with .042 starting to degrade and it is downhill from there once you start crushing the rim. That is why most guys see no difference. If your gun has a headspace larger than any of your rims than you are wasting your time.

^you may be right, or it may be that thinner rims have better primer ignition. my no go gauge for 22lr is .046.

There is a guy on Rimfire Central who shoots a lot of match grade ammo, he says sorting by the length to the ogive will result in increased accuracy. Lilja chambers are a couple thousandths shallower (if I remember right) which allows the bullet to contact the lands when it's chambered. Maybe the guy is on to something?

edit to add....link to a test done on bullet seating depths.
