Here's a first for me: I installed a new Bushnell Elite 3500 3-9x40 on a set of standard weaver rings. I was using CB shorts (740 fps) and simply feeding each short manually into the chamber.
My first 3 shots were within 2 inches (low) of bulleye at 12 yards. However, I noticed that I quickly ran out of elevation (up) adjustment on the scope. I was very surprised. Any suggestions? I know the shorts are very low power, but at 12 yards, you would think that drop would be negligible. I am sure with SV ammo, this will be less of a problem, but still, very strange.
Do I actually need a 20 MOA rail?
I reinstalled the scope just to make sure nothing was out of alignment.
